Id be lying if i said i hadnt thought about us winning the comp. Lets face it, theres no standout teams this year. The dogs and the dragons are good, but there far from the invincible and that hard to beat of teams of years gone by (manly and melbourne last year, roosters 2002-2004, sharks 1999).

The fact is then that form is such a big factor, and the sharks are going for 5 in a row against a very weak team next week.

If we get to the finals, nothing else matters, as it can come down to a grand final qualifier where it doesnt matter if your the dragons who have won 20 games for the year, or the sharks who have won 12 games for the year, the fact is your 80 minutes from a grand final or 80 minutes from elimination. So can the Sharks win it, of course they can. Whether they will is another story and youd probably still say probably not at this stage.

There is no reason why they can't make the top eight with close to their full complement of players available.

Remembering this club was a prelim finalist and top 4 finisher just last year.

Who knows.

If the Tigers can win 05 then the Sharks can make the top 8 of 09.

No higher though.

That Blake Ferguson has improved and Scott Porter didn't drop the F bomb tonight so good signs.

Anyone can make the top 8, but there is a big difference between 1 and 8 i would have to think they will stay at the bottom of the table though,
they havent impressed me yet,

The Sharks are as a good chance to win the Premiership as they have ever been in any year since 1967........next to none.

They have played teams in the bottom four and a wofully weak Brisbane side tonight, but its good for their fans that thye are attacking with adventure. Good on them.

I will say this about Brisbane - with the exceotion of Nick Kenny they all need to place that yellow stripe that runs down the side of their jerseys on their backs. The Broncos are no chance this year, regardles of their back line. Their forwards have been dominated all year & that just won't cut it in the big games.

Who the f**k would honestly have Ben Teo in heir side? The man is invisible. Clinton tries hard, but he plays like he is battling Shy Dragers syndrome, woeful hnds and a worse hair style. He'll be in Super League next year.
