Good luck to Hayden and the crew on turning Carl around.

Like I said Billy Johnstone the Cowboys trainer had no luck with him. Check out Billy here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Johnstone He is no pussy

Billy is not the trainer he has claimed to be... in fact he is that past it he is getting shafted from that role. Much like how the titans shafted him...
he is living in the 90's in terms of his training methods.

Beave, my point is that people were saying EXACTLY the same things about Mason when you signed him.

Another thing - I couldn't imagine many forwards at NQ hassling Webb - or embarrassing him into his best. I could easily imagine Fui and Hindy doing that - Hindy with his workload and Fui with the hitups that Webb used to do.

at least I f*cking well hope so, because it didn't work for Mateo, Cannings, Tsoulos, Poore et al

just curious to know how it didnt work for mateo and poore?
2 of our better players in a poor season...

i think you have rocks in your head

Im sorry but thats just not true. Our forward pack for the most part of the decade have been our biggest weakness but the last 2 years we have had a very good performing forward pack.

8. Mannah
9. Keating
10. Moi Moi
11. Hindmarsh
12. Smith
13. Shackleton
14. Mitchell
15. Horo (possibly Matua)
16. Webb
17. Poore.

Apart from the hookers, every player there has a proven track record. Whether they can reproduce it is another story.

I have faith in DA to get the best out of people, but Carl Webb????? Id rather John Mannah back.

:lol::lol:

Shackleton will pull his hamstring getting out of bed for pre-season training.

He was "lured" from the Titans with a big money offer.

His performance since 2009 has been Carl Webb like though, total dud.

Carl has played under various trainers though, and none of those have helped, I don't see why some dude at Parra is going to make any difference.

:lol: @ Cowpats fans. Who signed Willie Mason again?

Webb is the $150k signing that has the potential to become the $300k player. And the Cowpats track record of getting any player at their peak is pretty dismal post 2006.

One of your best Loudstrat, even by your usually rock bottom standards.

Willie Mason has been going great this year. There were also several club coaches interested in signing him.

Carl Webb on the other hand hasn't put in a decent performance for about 8 years. Nobody would have picked him up if Parramatta hadn't

c'mon Stagger, even us Cow fans were mystified at it tbh, he played very well in his first few games in here in '05 (remember the doggies game up here where he went about 50m to score with that f**ked out hair cut) but other than those standout games, he has been woeful ever since. None of us are bagging the eels (well im not at least) over this, more so that he is parading around week in week out supposedly being an athlete and getting paid more than most on here for it.............anyone see his boxing match at the start of the year, f**k me, anyone can be an 'athlete' these days......

C'mon, that just isnt true. Webb had a very good season in 2005 and theres no doubt he has played his best footy since coming to the Cowboys 6 years ago, since then....yeah about 3 good games a season (and none this year)

I was absolutely shocked to read that the Eels, Knights, Panthers and a couple of ESL teams were chasing him for next season and beyond. Maybe the change will be good for him, or maybe he'll just continue to be a fat, lazy sh*t who avoids hard work at any cost.

Time will tell

Exactly, in 2008 he was found out big time in his final Origin game after doing absolutely nothing in game 1.

well it remains to be seen whether he the change of scenery will do him any good, I'm prepared to cut him some slack in a different envioronment..however i was reacting to this.

Yes he did and it was the most unworthy rep selection ever

obviously deej hasn't been following the game for long.

he probably couldnt be bothered trying too hard any more as the cash he gets paid is enough and he is near end of his career the way he is playing.
But with that guy that knocked him out, i dont think 99% of people on here would of beat him anyway

Would it make you feel better if I had said 'one of the worst rep selections ever'.

I have no doubt it was somewhere in the top 10. It's great that you support your club no matter what but you have to realise that Carl Webb is an awful buy and Parramatta will be very lucky to get some decent form out of him.

Paul Hauff might have been a big lanky bugger who looked awkward.

But he was killing it the year he got picked for Oz, was practically player of the series in Origin and dominated the NRL for a period of a season and a half. Yeh he played sh*t for Oz, but so did Locky when he first got picked.

After that he did nothing.

Carl Webb has been lucky to play 6 good games in his entire career.
