Dureau has been absolutely dreadful this season. He's already announced that he's leaving at the end of the year and I'm pretty sure they would ship him off now if they weren't already down to their fifth-choice halfback.

He had a decent first season, since then he has been terrible.
Myler will be a big upgrade on him

How's Escare been going this season? Last season he was topping the league in a number of stats and whilst being ok statwise this season is way down on last seasons efforts..

Just saw the highlights. That pass went about 4 metres forward, nothing short of a disgrace.

Does anyone know what the touch-judge situation is for Catalans matches? It looks like it was one English and one French official, is that right? I think it was on the side of the French official (if indeed he is French).

Also, I notice a lot of soccer-style theatrics creeping into the game of the Catalans, which for me is even more disgraceful than the refereeing. I hope they cut it out.

http://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_19335-guasch-admits-catalans-should-produce-more-players.html

Dragons chairman Bernard Guasch has acknowledged that his club needs to work harder to produce more French players.

Although the club announced that two Academy products, Fouad Yaha and Lucas Albert, had today signed long-term deals with the Dragons, Guasch is unhappy with the Academy programme's success rate at his club.

"It’s an important moment for the club. I’m delighted that Lucas and Fouad have signed their first professional contracts and decided to stay with us on long-term period," he said.

"It’s a great reward for all the efforts that have gone on this season in our Youth development system.

"The club is moving forward and we will continue to develop our Academy system in the years to come.

"We know we need to produce more homegrown players in the future and we look forward to seeing more young French players coming through in the seasons to come.

"Fouad and Lucas are an example for all the young players who want to become professional rugby league players.”

Considering the U19 team has only been playing part time this season compared to all the other academy sides I would say it's been a huge success.

I think the winger Jordan Sigismau has shown some real potential too, good to see them producing good young players.

So it now looks like Paul Aiton is official - as is David Taylor from Gold Coast.

Oh dear.

David Taylor isnt even Qld Cup standard - and once again we will have over rated aussies taking French places

Can anyone translate the last paragraph? Are they saying something along the lines of: the football match after the Catalans/St Helens match, attracted 2.5 million viewers, many of which would have tuned in early and seen some of the Catalans match? Is that correct?

Hey all

I am trying to find somewhere online to buy a Catalan polo for a bday present/souvenir. Where is the best place to buy ESL merchandise online?

I was recently in the Catalans but couldn't find anything there other than Barcelona FC gear!
