The Pirtek Parramatta Eels will farewell the NRL's longest-serving captain, Nathan Cayless, with a Tribute Dinner this Saturday night at Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf.
After 259 first grade matches, 220 as Captain, and more than 14 seasons for the Eels, the local junior who went on to captain the New Zealand Kiwis to the 2008 World Cup is hanging up his boots.
The event will feature Guest Speakers Stephen Kearney, Alan Jones AO and Peter 'the Mad Butcher' Leitch.
More than 360 guests will attend, including Cayless' current and former teammates from the Eels, Cayless' family and friends and many more players from the NRL and Kiwis.
Cayless' former teammate and coach Jason Taylor will MC the event, which includes Guest Speakers, Tributes, a documentary on Cayless' life and football career and a performance from Rikki-Lee Coulter.
Vic Lorusso will auction memorabilia to raise money for Cayless' chosen charity Ronald McDonald House.
My invite must be in the post. :sarcasm:
