Am I the only person who is starting to get peeved off with celebrities?

Australian celebrities, on the whole, behave pretty well and are fairly down-to-earth good people.

But, some of these american celebrities have lost total touch with reality. Ones who behave weirdly or badly have lost the plot. I find that a good proportion of them are extremely shallow and have no idea about real life.

There are solid decent people among them (like Hugh Jackman), but a good proportion of them need a reality check.

The worst are these semi celebrities who are famous for being famous. The kardashians are a prime example. WTF have any of them done? I think Kim was a model or something. The formula seems to be that you just need to be half decent looking and hang out with the right people. Then you get a reality show because your family is disfunctional and suddenly you are "famous". Seriously, who honestly gives a sh*t about these people?

The problem isn't celebrities, it's the countless number of idiots that support them.

Think about it: if people had fulfilling lives they wouldn't need to spend so much time supporting celebrities because they'd have their own achievements to revel in. People who are "famous for being famous" simply exploit the dull lives of others to become famous. People like Paris Hilton because they think she is interesting, they envy her life, they wish they could live like her. She uses this popularity to then make even more money because thousands of unfulfilled zombies want to be just like her.

Celebrities are just a reflection of the population that adores them, if people weren't superficial then neither would celebrities. People feed them, and they feed off the people. Moral of the story is: stop being an idiot and starting focusing on your own life instead of someone else's.
