Was never my favourite player but you have to feel for him being farewelled like this. Played a long time in the system and deserved a home game farewell. Oh well.

I would like him to have gotten one more game but we’re in a position when we can’t afford to be dropping points. And he’s not in our best team anymore so unfortunately he won’t get another match. Farewell Chad.

As much as iv disliked his game the past few years iv got to give him credit for being one of the most professional, hard working, club loving players to pull on a sharks jumper and part of our first premiership team.
That $200-$250k may be the difference on our squad going into next year.

No matter what many think, Chadly was a critical member of the 2016 team and a number of games during the season wre won on his back. He has not reached the same level since but no one else from that team has kicked on either. I whole heartedly thank him for pulling on the black white and blue and giving his all and giving me the most anticipated and greatest moment of my life. Good luck for the rest of your career in the NRL and life after footy mate. I hope I bump into you and get to buy you a beer some time in the future.

f**k off d!ck head anyone who can’t appreciate a player who played in THAT gf winning team and doesn’t wish them the best is a FW. Take a look at yourself and realise the best you have managed to achieve is moderate messages on the internet.

I prefer the use of Richard instead of Dick. Can you just imagine the fharcann Tories calling out in the Federal Parliament, to the The Hon Richard Marles deputy leader of the Australian Labor Party
"Hey you Dick Marles."

Doesn't really matter I guess. Tories are still charnts.

Have to agree with dreary if I’m honest. I could probably be classed as a Chad hater, as I’ve wanted him gone for a long time, but he should now go with our blessings and a thanks for everything.
Nobody can deny his commitment to the club, he’s brought us no drama, and was a part of the special group who are etched into history, regardless of how big or little a part he actually played in the success, he was a part of it. It’s probably unfair (but entirely understandable) to taint his exit with vitriol based on the fact that he’s been worse than average for a long time (yet still getting picked) make - I blame the coaches for that, not him.

Anyway, thanks for your efforts and commitment Chad, good luck in the future and all that…. Now let’s move on and try and get ourselves Comp number 2…

Love him or hate him, he is and will always be one of that team from 2016.
His contribution could be brought into question but played with plenty of grit that year. Particularly fond memory of that preliminary final v Cowboys - where he kicked back after getting hooked the week before.
Aside from well wishes, most should be happy he’s gone….I know I am…but not forgotten
