It's okay, we'll be facing Wigan in the World Cup Challenge

Nah, Wire all the way!!

As for the final, i hope its a good game but i have a horrible feeling it will be an easy win for Wigan. If Leeds play like they did in the semi or they did when i watched them this year against Warrington then we are looking at 50 for Wigan.

Anyways i have to support the scum over the pies (until they start with that Yorkshire chant).

For all of you guys that might be watching Wigan for the first time since the WCC... keep an eye on Sam Tomkins. The kid is literally untouchable. As a neutral I found myself punching the air and hooting and hollering at the TV last week as he took Bradford apart. He's incredible. The best balance of any player I have ever seen.

The most over rated player in Rugby League for the past 2 years. A poor mans Josh Dugan.

Everyone who watched the 4 Nations saw how ineffective he is against quality opposition.

Wigan to win. Surely.

No small feat, especially with George Carmont and Brett Finch in the team.

I can remember in the late 80's and 90's when the Challenge Cup Final was a big deal in Australia.

It still should be. The media has really dropped off and the broadcasters don't seem as interested.

Thank god for Mascord.

BTW, can someone blow Ch 9 up so we can see ESL games at a decent hour?

The treatment of Super League & the Challenge Cup. Nine has failed to capitalise on its flow on audience potential that its negated the logic behind its initial purchase.

They need a WCC for the spoon, at least my team would finally get a crack at the poms as we'll never get to play in a proper WCC :x

Will check it out. For those that don't know (me). What is the Challenge Cup?

Knockout comp in England, oldest RL trophy in the world, been going since 1895, has drawn anywhere up to 120,000 over the years, usually gets between 80 and 90k these days at Wembley.

The sad thing with the new Wembley (as well as being in a right shithole) is that the all seater stadium sticks out like a sore thumb if there is 5000 short of capacity yet the old wembley always looked full even if there was 20000 less of capacity.
Just look at some of the crowds the CC got in the 1970's and early 1980's and they were up there with the VFL grand finals and bigger then a lot of NFL and GAA finals.
If the game is not sold out it's because around 15000 of the seats are only available to members of Wembley.Mayve the CC be better suited at Old Trafford now.
