Lol this frog guy is on another planet

Let's compare both players and see how they faired against each other over the weekend

James Tedesco

165 running metres
3 offloads
2 try assists
2 line breaks
1 try

Matt Moylan

94 running metres
1 try assist

Mind you Tedesco played in a losing side against the best team in the comp whilst Moylan played against a shit Souffs team and won comfortably.

Bullshit mate the only try assist Tedesco had yesterday was when he put Korobeite away for a 90m try and he only had one linebreak, where did you come up with that?

Teddy has done enough to be first in line for the NSW FB spot without having to make this shit up.

Copied directly from the NRL.com stats website, feel free to check it out if you want lol.

When did Tedesco tip it on to Koro? You mean when Moses threw a hospital pass that went to the deck and Koro picked it up

I never claimed Moylan had a blinder on Friday night, and he was backing up after 48 hours which you conveniently neglect to mention. And at least I am able to give your boy credit for the good things he did do yesterday, something you are clearly incapable of on the other side. If Tedesco had been any more than a passenger when his side were in trouble I would give him credit for that too.

Thus your opinions are clearly shown to be non-objective and biased, like your side's coach who cannot understand why his boy wasn't selected for Origin 2 even though he was out injured for Origin 1. Like the side was going to be turned upside down just because Tedesco was back from injury.

Maybe there are too many Wests Tigers players in the NSW side already. This is a side that trails 26-0 at halftime before the refs intervene and gets beaten 60-6 by a mid-table side, also the only side Newcastle have beaten all year. I think you should be thankful you have any players in the side at all.

 Fired up for pointing out your talking out of your asshole? If he played so much better why not post the full and correct stats and instead of making shit up and leaving things off to make it look better for you? Ive said like 5 times Teddy should be picked I just can't cop the bullshit getting thrown around now.

Did you even watch the game yesterday mate? Because if you did theres no way you could of actually believed Teddy had two try assists.

Picking Tedesco is not a reflection of Moylan ability. It just means he's the second best option.

People, mainly selectors, need to get past the fear of 'dropping' players. It doesn't mean they are shit, it means they aren't as good as the guy replacing them. Tedesco is a better fullback than Moylan, ergo he should be picked. How Moylan tales that is his problem - he can drop his head and play like he didn't deserve to be picked in the first place or he can rise to the challenge and make himself available for another spot.

Or not. But if it was Origin 1 next week, Tedesco would be picked over Moylan. That should be the case in Origin 3 too.

Haha if it makes you better mate off the top of my head it was something like 160 metres, a couple line breaks and a few offloads. I can't check it atm

I did indeed watch the game, totally non existent in the first half then came out to play in the 2nd half

I still cant believe people are in here saying Moylan isn't involved Penriths attack, his try assist and linebreak assist numbers are as good as any half in the comp but yeah the guy is hardly involved in our attack. Even Friday where he was apparently 'invisible' he spent half the game at first receiver and was in everything and created two tries and almost a couple more. If you want Tedesco picked than fair enough there are plenty of legit arguments for that without having to make shit up about Moylan.

I think the point some people are trying to make is that Tedesco can create but is also a very damaging runner. They both have 9 try assists this year (Moylan at 0.9 a game, Tedesco at 0.8), and Moylan has 11 line break assists at 1.1 to Tedescos 10 at 0.8. Keep in mind brooks is near the top of both those stats so naturally Tedesco takes a lesser role. However when you look at at actual like breaks and tries Tedesco is near the top and Moylan isn't in the top 20. Whatever you say about Tedesco's first half yesterday, it was his running try that brought the Tigers back. He would have destroyed in some of the broken play in origin 2, and those are the types of players NSW needs. I personally think they should shift Moylan to 6 or 14 for game 3.

Froggy mate I think its time to log off and have a lie down. You accusing others of bias yet bag the Wests Tigers more than Trump bags Mexicans.

Yep the Tigers are a poor team, no arguments whatsoever and I don’t think Farah should be the NSW 9, yet your panthers which you’ve campaigned for about half the team to be playing Origin have won a whole one game more than this rabble. When you consider that IMO the Panthers have a lot more talent in their team then Wests do I think that’s pretty average from them.

Like I said to me MM deserved the first two games, I feel (and the general consensus NSW fans in forums, talk backs, media etc) he was poor and sadly his performances didn’t show the type of player he can be. If he gets the gig for Game 3 I’ll say good luck to him and hope he turns it on in great win for the State. I certainly wont throw an almighty tantrum and support QLD which you will do if he isn’t picked. To me two games in what is a three game series every year is enough of a go and someone else should be given the chance to show what they can do. Maybe Teddy/Coote/Morris whoever will come in and have a shocker, maybe they would have been disastrous in the first two games, we’ll never know.

To me the biggest slight on Moylan was late in the second half when the Blues were down by 6. A long kick goes into the ingoal, there's not much time left and nsw need the ball and points, Moylan kicks the ball dead and doesn't even attempt to bring it back. Qld score from the drop out and it's game/series over. It was a soft option and not one I want my origin fullback to take when the game is on the line.

All I think we can judge is how our fullback went in the first two games and the form of other fullback contenders. You in your completely objective and non-biased opinion believe MM should be the 1, and that’s fine. I just hope whoever gets picked there has a MOTM game in a Blues win.

Lol you got caught red handed trying to make shit up mate. You even said they were "copied straight from the NRL website" when I called you on it the first time.

I can see why Tedesco is favoured mate the post you quoted wasn't comparing them as players or playmakers. My problem is with people saying shit like Moylan was invisible on Friday night and the even more ridiculous statement from someone that Penriths attack hardly goes through Moylan at all.

Tedesco is brilliant he should be NSW FB I think everyone but Froggy can see that but I am biased enough that I will argue some of the horseshit being said about Moylan.

Tedesco needs to be called up. He should've been there in Game 2 as only injury kept him out of Game 1.

But most of the folks calling for it and making it a black & white argument with Moylan are probably just as f**ked as the folks at NSW Origin that they criticise.

Moylan shouldn't be dumped. FFS, hasn't anyone learnt from the same old shit NSW Origin does year after year?

Put Moylan on the bench, or put him in the halves for Reynolds. Sure he doesn't play there for Penrith but he plays like one. He's a young bloke. It's not the immediate impact we want from these guys. It's building for a tilt at the QLD merkins possibly next year. More realistically though after the waste of a series this has been with the same old farts picked and the same influence they've had on the play, 2018 will be the year the blooding comes to fruition. It'll take a while to get the combinations that have served QLD so well over the last few years.

Daley isn't going to dump Gallen, Farah or Bird for Game 3, so it's moot leaving them out of teams unfortunately. But if NSW are going to honour Daley's contract next season, and they have said that they will, then he really needs to set the team up for next series.

This guy gets it. We will never develop a core group of talented players that can hope to challenge Queensland by constant chopping and changing. It is the old players that need to be moved on to set up for the future, or the blokes who have had several series and not done much like Jackson. Not the kids who have had a couple of games and been unable to magically stop the Queensland juggernaut. Ideally this would not include Walker, but he's there now, so give him a chance to find his feet, so long as it is at centre. If we need a bench utility, Cartwright is ideal for the job, otherwise Moylan could certainly do a similar job for us that Morgan does for Queensland, which would in turn open up the fullback slot for Tedesco.

Given the series is over they should just try Moylan at 6. He spent more time than usual on Friday night attacking from first or second receiver and we looked good when he was there. He has the vision and ball playing ability of a top notch half, his attacking kicking game is very good now as well.

Imaging in a tight origin game bringing Bryce on the same time as Bird or if Bird starts just having Bryce and Bird out there playing on an edge, it would be hard as f**k to handle defensively 2 of the most natural footballers in the league, with Teddy hanging around these two you could have a ridiculously potent attacking combination from 3 young guys.

It really is great to read all these ideas then watch as the nsw selectors do something completely inept.
