What, and throw away the something that NRL has which AFL doesn't? (i.e. a non-Australian team that draws crowds AND has a passionate local supporter base).

That's crazy talk.

But they do have an All Australian team with you beaut blazers, who play no one else.Well nobody on this planet I can think of.

Why can't we just add Brisbane and 1 team has a bye every week ..

How does this effect ch 9

Except giving them a suncorp game every week

Dumb.

We should do the exact opposite. Let's kick out Brisbane, Gold Coast, North Queensland, Newcastle, New Zealand, Canberra & Melbourne. Also bring back St George and get rid of Illawarra.

If the titans come to Brisbane, they need a total branding change. Is @applesauce here? His design for the titans logo was 1000/10 and I think they should buy it off him.

$4-6mill dependent on club. Storm got $4.3mill from the nrl extra for 5 years as part of the agreement for news Ltd to sell them off. Nrl wanted Storm independent, it was a way of making that happen whilst protecting a significant investment on expansion. It’s worked a treat. The game is growing well in Melbourne, tv audiences have grown significantly, crowds have grown, grass roots conti use to grow invictoria and the storm are now profitable, Storm are most watched club on pay tv. Just like spending millions on other clubs in time of need nrl invested wisely in Melbourne. it makes sense to keep the game stable and growing.
Was this on top of the club grant?

What's the point when a lot of clubs like Panther and Sharks, ST George Illawarra develop a whole lot juniors only so they can play for the Roosters..

There is 3 members of our 30 man squad that are juniors of one of those clubs

Brett Morris
Drew Hutchison
Max Bailey

All of which are St George (Illawarra to be precise) juniors.

I can't think of any sharks junior we have ever had, if we have had them they haven't been very good.

How many juniors from St George and Penrith in your top 30?

A fourth qld team ... yeah that’ll solve everything
Sharks roosters and dogs don’t deserve to go at all even though the roosters going would even the comp haha ... but no they are a very professionally run outfit

Who cares how professional they are if f**k all people support them?

Really, other then their 50 odd thousand supporters that barely ever show up anyway, who gives a rats. Move them or spear them. Either way they have to go. Every other team has good to massive support from fans, bar maybe Manly, but they are a strategic(north of the harbour) club. So they need to stay, but I would make conditions on them to stay or they too would be on the move or chop, chop board of grand plans. But those details are for another day.

Come on V'landys, Do it mate and shock us clear thinking fans that know, when push comes to shove, the only team that they will have the balls to move or cut will be the soft but strategically stupid option, Titans. There will be great debate and wringing of hands but sweet f**k all will happen at the end of it or like I already said, goodnight GCT.

We used to have a second Brisbane team, Perth, And Adelaide.

That was back when there was far less competition for consumers entertainment spending.

The nrl should repeat previous failures just in case somethings changed.

Yet these clubs with alleged massive fan bases consistently have a lower home average than the roosters who have no supporters.

Like this year for example.

but but ANZAC Day!!!!

Not to mention the fan survey poll where the roosters got the highest percentage as most supported club.

What that tells me is most other fans didn't bother filling out the survey.

Yes things have changed , there's more competition for consumer dollars and less interest in rugby league
