I think all kids should be admitted free. Adult tickets should be more affordable and this is something the NRL should be addressing instead of making an obscene profit

This is club responsibility not NRL. Sadly clubs are generally so badly run they’d rather fleece the 12k die hard s for $40a ticket than try and get 20k ain at $20 a ticket.

What nrl could have done is set aside some off the tv club grant increase to subsidise ticket costs effectively forcing clubs to lower prices.

Some leagues clubs spend 4-5 times more propping up the nrl club than they do on jnr RL. As someone else said all is not equal in the nrl.

And that is the source of discontent when you have perpetual winners and losers with the same teams and the rest fighting over the scraps.

The nrl may as well just say we want these 8 teams in the nrl, the rest of you can f##k off.

Certainly a large part of it, but I can't speak for all clubs. If Leagues clubs have to chip in to support the cost of the first grade operation it points to a poor business model, where the revenue is not fully directed at the place that actually puts on the show. Without a strong Leagues club, teams go under while at headquarters they sip champagne.

Leagues clubs exist to further the sport of Rugby League. How they do that it up to themselves.

Have you done the modelling on the extra costs for security? Catering/Food? Ground staff? Other miscellaneous costs? Probably not

The Broncos probably don't need help. They have a city to themselves. This is what this is all about. The NRL want to put another team in Brisbane because they think there is enough money to support another team in the area.

More people at the game means more food and drink sales, greater merch sales, more attractive corporate box sales etc. ticket price is only one source of revenue from game day activity,
