Arsenal and Everton away?

You could look at it that way, or you could say we were tested away from home against quality opposition and still picked up a point. What's that say about the home teams though?

Nothing. You were in a position to win and Jose changed tactics to go more defensive.
He has form doing this.

I'm not talking about the other team. I'm talking your manager and his return to Chelsea.

If you thought you were clearly better than the team leading the league by six points, you'd have to think you're a show of at least Europa, wouldn't you?

Maybe you should wait see how you fare next weekend before you get too carried away...

I'm talking about the game.

You can read that as " we are going to win the league" but if you are going to make a cheap joke I'd probably go for something more concrete in the future....

But United didn't ultimately score from a change of tactic, they score from a set piece out wide. Jose's tactic seemed to be working enough because United weren't getting a goal out of it. You scored because you got a free kick, Chelsea had a red card, they got everyone into the box to defend, and then RVP scored from a loose ball.

United were out played at the start of the second half. Upto the goal and after it.

He could have played a more attacking style against a team with a struggling defence from a winning position.

Instead he played for a 1-0 win, put his own side under pressure which ultimately led to a red card and a 1-1 draw.

You do realise we are undefeated and leading the league right? Only dropping 4 points in 9 games. What would you be saying if we continued to press and concede on the counter? You'd probably be saying he bottled it by not putting Mikel on.

Well done on your point at home. If we bottle it like that against quality opposition away from home again, we'd only drop another 4 points (Liverpool and Arsenal).

Or get knocked out of the champs league...

Yeah great.

But irrelevant to the point, again.

What is your point then? Sitting back when in front could cost us the Champions League? Going for the throat could also cost us the Champions League. Especially when down to choosing a 20 year old Solanke as a back up striker.

You are being very unrealistic thinking we should of went Gung-ho to "kill the game off" - Drogba could barely run towards the end, Matic and Fabregas both looked exhausted as well. Had we held on at 1-0 not a single word would of been said about tactics

As far as United are concerned, how many chances did they create through the middle of the park besides RVP in the first half and then in the second? Everything they did came via long diagonals or 50/50 balls from out wide especially in the second half. If anything that only enforced the fact that bringing on Mikel was a good idea because they virtually offered nothing in front of him and couldn't break us down via that route and had to bypass their own midfield.

Enjoy your trophy.

Seriously, that little opportunity down the left flank that Di Maria had that preceded the red card could have just as easily happened if Chelsea were going gung-ho for a second goal. It had nothing to do with Mourinho 'putting pressure on his players'. Ivanovic accidentally clipped Di Maria, and it wasn't worthy of a second yellow card. Therefore, with Ivanovic defending that free kick instead of sitting on the bench, Chelsea would have more than likely cleared the ball, and game over. Nobody would be talking about Mourinho supposedly bottling it.

Would like to see something like tomorrow:

Cech, Christiensen, Zouma, Ake, Luis, Mikel, Baker, Ramires, Salah, Schurrle, Brown

Game is on Setanta too btw

Even though we're playing a League 2 side, that's a pretty thin backline

Complacency should still be our biggest threat though

Wow, wrong about everything.

Well done.

That would be really good (nah not really), except for the bit you left in about us winning a record 19th title.

Happy days. :D

No. Everything you said wasn't the point.

You didn't hold on, you didn't even need to hold on, as before his negative sub you were on top of the game.

Who said gung ho? Not bringing on a defensive mid and inviting a team back into a game isn't going hung ho.

Just to reiterate for the slow. We were done. 1-0 down, defence looking dodgy, could hardly get out of our half. Jose handed us a way back in, as he didn't have it him in to resist going to defensive.

Sitting back like I said. You're rambling to make a point which I have addressed several times over.

Enjoy it, seriously, it will be all you win this season.

Wirey seems to have caught the attention whore's Mourinho complex

He's at least trying to make sense though, even though he's wrong

Yep, Costa this weekend, Didier back in for Maribor, and Diego back again for Liverpool

Costa v Johnson should be quite something to behold
