Would love Reus, he is world class, and it would free Hazard up to play the number 10 role behind Costa, Oscar cant handle the role week in week out. Tonight against Swansea I expect Cech to hold his place between the sticks and other than Luis coming in for the injured Azpi and Cahill returning in place of Zouma i think we will see our strongest line-up, also wouldnt mind Remy getting some solid minutes tonight.

Sublime football so far, 30 minutes in and we are cruising, the build up to Costa's goal in particular was amazing, another Fab dime!!

Not sure whose second goal was better, they were both sublime

We're getting a bit of breathing room in both F/A and the golden boot

Agreed, i really feel this game against city in afew weeks will decide the title, and we couldnt be in better touch. If i had one criticism of that first 45 it would be Willians finishing which to be fair has been a problem all season, but he was involved in alot of our good lead up work to the other goals, near perfection. No subs at halftime, Jose really wants a cricket score.

Fabregas was superb again. He makes it all look so simple and natural. Not easy to praise a money-grabbing former Arsenal and Barca player, but he really deserves it.

Swansea like to play it around the back, we like to press high. It all played into our hands. You'd have thought Swansea would have at least a plan B to get it forward faster, but the didn't so it was a bit like shooting fish in a barrel.
The possession stat is that we had 55% of the possession, but I'd like to see the territory stats - it seems 85 mins or more were played in their half.

Oscar, Luis and Cahill all played well, so little to talk about really. Willian went from nearly man to very very nearly with two shots smashing the woodwork (Good game to do that in, another day they'd be considered wasteful misses, both). Ivanovic was good going forward, and his assist and interplay with Hazard for the 5th was superb. (And great to see 2 players on the line for the short cross - just as should be.

Do we rotate for the cup game or the Liverpool CC games (or all 3)?

Need some rotation, for the Midweek game against Liverpool I would go with

Courtous
Ivanovic
Zouma
Cahill
Luis
Mikel
Ramires
Schurrle
Hazard
Remy
Drogba

With Hazard in the 10 behind the striker, and Remy on the right, I think that team is more than capable of beating them, we can inject Costa Fab/Oscar and Matic later in the game if necessary. But need to keep our stars fresh as the Man City game is essentially a grand final, we need our best fresh and fit.

Lovely performance, tough pick for MOTM but i think Fabregas was superb.

It's a good sign when we have 3-4 candidates

Hazard's performance would see him as MOM at most clubs, but we're at the point where his genius doesn't surprise us anymore

Fabregas and Matic are easily the two most important acquisitions from the last twelve months

Liverpool played well at home. FT 1-1 great result considering. If Liverpool try and play that expansive football next week they will be annihilated ... all is good ....

MOTM - Courtois. Magnificent tonight.

There was a game plan- sit deep, soak up , play on the counter ...it worked - 1-1 isn't a bad result - we won't play like that at the Bridge

Very impressive goal from Sterling, but otherwise we seemed to have everything in hand

I doubt José will be too concerned about the return fixture

We struggled with our transitions from attack to defence and mistimed passing made it seem like we were struggling.

With Oscar out and Fabregas high our pressing disappears so Costa doesn't try on his own either. Oscar back will make it a one-sided 2nd leg
