Exactly, as I'm sure you've already seen it looks as if Lampard will get given another year so that can only be a good thing, it may seem a little reactionary but it's blindingly obvious that he deserves at the very least another year, particularly as he was reportedly willing to dramatically reduce his wage.
For me, and this is quite likely looking through rose-tinted spectacles unfortunately but I actually see Lampard's extension (if it happens of course) to be a positive sign as to Mourinho returning, the very reason why Lampard was going to leave was apparently due to the fact that Lampard was again reportedly one of the key rebels against Andre Villas-Boas (which I find a little hard to believe personally, but anyway) and because of this (and because of the fact that Abramovich still rates AVB) getting rid of Lampard was to act as a kind of revenge mission. Combining this with the continual rumours that Mourinho will come back seems to me indicate that well he is coming back.
Probably going off on a delusional tangent though.
