Lol DCE is a premiership winner and presumably wants to win another. The team in bold does not offer him an opportunity to do so.

Players don't go to souffs to win premierships, its where you go to bludge and watch your career nosedive.

If you go to 50uff$ you'd want it to be your last contract (because your papers get stamped "unemployable as a rugby league player" when you go) and it'd have to be a huge payday because you can't weight up salary v potential given that representative selections and finals are not part of the equation.

I know he signed the contract but dam, 85k this season? Manly must of seen this coming so if they lose him its cause of their own bad management.

I feel very sorry for Manly. If I was a Manly fan and looking down the barrel of Foran/DCE leaving on top of Hasler already being gone I'd be gutted. Where's the reward for uncovering/putting faith in these talents?

I suppose last years premiership is the reward, but still...

Its all well and good to uncover them but you gotta be able to pay them what they're worth.

lol... thats why Sandow's on $550K at the Eels and no other club would want Burgess, Taylor, Luke or Inglis if they were available. You on the other hand ARE clearly unemployable.

Yep, Sandow's proven to be valuable taking Eels to a 0 from 2 start. Money well spent. Dragging Parra into this hardly strengthens your argument, they are in a situation as dire as 50uff$.

And your wrong about me, my taxes pay the Centrelink payments to 50uff$ fans.

Have Manly stuffed up their salary cap?? Surely they can afford to give Cherry-Evans more coin.

How do you do that without cheating the Salary Cap genius? Both Stewarts, both halves, the hooker, Watmough, Matai all uncovered by Manly. I'd like to know how you can pay them all what they're worth?

DCE could always consult Jamie Lyon about honouring contracts if he needs advice.

All good and well to say Manly should pay him what he's worth. But ffs honour a contract. He'll get his payday - he wants it NOW.

His manager should have backed him to make it and negotiated a shorter contract.
