This is the same Foran who bombed two tries he should have scored? He only needed to dummy one pass to a committed defender on one, and fall of the bloody line on the other.

Foran made most of those metres of one bust. 1 missed tackle from 31 successful tackles from a halfback. I'd imagine Sandow would give his left nut to do that one week. If we kept Foran, that would be the best we could have hoped for in the halfback next season. Foran's a good player, and we never should have been attempting to keep both of them. It was stupid to even try.

It isn't blame. Lets put this simply. You have a chance at 3 halfbacks. DCE, Elgey or Sandow for next season. Titan's sign DCE with the ability to overturn it. They then also sign Elgey without any backflip possible. You're left with Sandow on an inflated deal, or DCE on an inflated backflip deal. What choice is there? To suggest the Titan's signing Elgey forced Manly into a DCE backflip isn't blame. It is just circumstance. Personally if I could pick, I'd go with Elgey myself. Not that he is a better player yet, but I'm not a fan of losing large amounts of cap on one player. But picking DCE or a bunch of nevilles, I think you have to take the ability to build a team around a known skill set.

They just paid massive overs to retain a player they already had! Not only that, but they went and paid overs to an ageing forward in Nate Myles to sweeten the deal....

you and Danny Boy forget Sezer who we had to let go because we thought we were getting DCE. We DID let one go, we just decided it wasn't going to be LG. So it's kinda dumb to be making the 'you can't keep all halves' argument really.
