And to be fair to the Celtics and Knicks, they were shit for a long time before they acquired their teams. I mean the Knicks had to live through the Isiah era :lol:
The Lakers are the only team I can understand people having a gripe with, since they never seem to really hit rock bottom.
It does for exposure. Technically the Heat are a small market city but you can't deny they aren't a hot destination for players to go for the life style that comes with South Beach. The market size is also determined by TV's in homes IIRC so that is slightly flawed since there is the money available through investors and sponsors.
The Knicks and Celtics also went shit during an era where teaming up with 2 other superstars wasn't done until players were well past their peak and chasing a ring. Boston somewhat kept the trend of ring chasers but it's a new game since the decision.
