Vaughan needs some support up top as well, he let down his team be not complying with the NRL Bubble COVID rules....

Plenty rumours he wants to leave

You don’t forget the rules of bubble I’m sure

Maybe just wanted to be dropped or sacked

Big fan before this year and I’m sure bubble life tough on the players esp warriors

Hopefully a new coach will fix him and he stays

Hopefully a new coach will fix a lot of things

have you seen him play lately ? He would be perfect for us.Also wouldn't hinder our culture change as well.

Yep, seen him play and like him, Denis. Good solid footballer, tough also, a bit slow though but not the end of the world, perfect fit at the Storm with their current line up. I would have no problem swapping him for any of our current crop, but that wasn't my point. I was referring to adding to our current crop. Our balance and rotation just doesn't change by adding him to the current team list. We need an enforcer and we just don't have one and i don't see Welch filling that gap.

Yes- a good guy on and off the field- but dare I say it - he reminds me of a bigger version of Jeremy Latimore- agree about the need for a blood and thunder, fearless, blockbusting prop in the Toby Rudolph/Royce Hunt mould

Agree with what you have said D9 , however he is a ‘ busy ‘ forward who doesn’t wait for the game to come to him , as some do . He reminds me somewhat of JDB .

But as you say the Dragons are sadly in need of an enforcer , surely they can sign Welch and also hunt for the tough-nut that will add some respectability to our forward pack .

Apparently the money is there to do this .

Also need a coach who will attract the required players and get the most out of them
No good player will want to risk a club with no coach or an absolute beginner like Young

A big yes from me, I am a fan & based on his last two weeks his go forward would be great hits the line hard and has an offload as well a lot more than a lot of our current forward pack which does lack consisting offloading ability IMO.
The club has identified the type of forward(s) we need to help what we already have less some who are going or will not be re-signed. Welch has the skills that will allow our backs to score from his offloads IMO. Hopefully we will get him and that he can escape the grasps from the Storm who do have a leg in.

Yes Gareth, I totally agree mate. If we could get Welch in addition to an aggressive big body forward, i'd be really happy with that result. I don't think we can rely on T. Sims to bring that aggression week in and week out, he seems to have lost his edge. Perhaps they are confident that JDB will be back next season and they will just wind him up and let him go and unleash a couple of year of built up aggression on the opposition. Anyway, time will tell i guess, just hope we don't let our powder get wet and end asking Latimore to come back and give us one more year.

Ive never seen Frizz not put in
I have a lot of respect for the guy

Sadly his game has gone downhill under Marys guidance
Was trying to offload last night but hasn’t been doing that for years
He always cuts back into the middle where other forwards tend to handle him easily rather than step outside so the centre has to handle him

Surely this was on instruction as he doesn’t do it as much in SOO
I hope he makes the most of himself at Newcastle under a different style of play
