Aside from the fact that it spikes your insulin levels, sends you on a sugar high because your body has been starved for 8+ hours until the inevitable crash when you again crave more sugar.

Protein and complex carbs for breaky are best because they are more slowly absorbed and wont cause your blood sugar to spike

I agree with the latter 100%. Eggs are my go to breakfast food. But I can honestly say, I've never had anything resembling a sugar high from Uncle Toby's oats. I'd understand if we were talking about donuts or maple syrup drenched French toast.

After a weekend of indulgence I'm back on the weight loss train.

Breakfast is four burger patties with bacon and cheese. Far better then smelly muesli.

You could go full low carb. Everyone I've put on this diet has lost minimum 8 kilo in a month. It's quite badass.

Yeah diabetes is f**ked. Are you type 1? Mum's diabetes leveled out when she got on it, but she's type 2. It's not gone, just under control.

Low carb diets are generally not sustainable long term, you don't want to go on a diet, you want to change your diet so it includes mostly whole foods.

Depends on the person. My brother is 6 months into low carb, he's smashing it.

I've also made the whole foods change in the past, and was starving. To feel full I needed minimum 3000 calories a day. That's the beauty of this, I'm never hungry on way less food. Constant clawing hunger is going to f**k up any change of diet, that's why this one works for me.

I just hate the fact that I have to eat. Sometimes I'm just not f**king hungry at dinner time but I know if I don't eat come about 2am my BSL is dangerously low.

Would an egg, fruit & veg diet work for a person who only does bodyweight exercises eg. pullups, dips, pushups etc etc.

I use to be relatively strong when it came to bodyweight exercises. 16 pullups, & 90 pushups in 20 minutes. Now I can only do 4 pullups & 20 pushups......

After doing research on eggs (love em), & they appear to be the perfect food for someone looking to increase their reps in these types of exercises. Low carbs, complete/high protein, the cholestoral stigma is BS.

My routine would consist of:
chosen workout for the day in the morning, followed by protein with 2 eggs (all eggs will be hardboiled for optimal biodigestion)
Lunch - 8 eggs, fruit.
Dinner - 8 eggs, veg.
Eat pretty much whatever I want on weekends.

That approx 158g per day. Not sure on the calories consumed, I'll wait til I get home to do the maths on that. 6025 KJ in eggs, not sure about the shake, how to see the container first.

Would this work? Thoughts.

How come? As long as it isn't ludicrously low I don't see why it wouldn't be sustainable. If you start the day with eggs, chicken for lunch and steak for dinner, snack on nuts, a couple of pieces of fruit and some veggies, that doesn't sound very unsustainable imo.

It would but it's inefficient. Eggs are 50/50 fat and protein. Cut the fruit and you've got a sick keto diet for cutting. And take vitamins, obviously.

You would be trying to build, so more lean meat along with all that will help build. 2g a kilo I think is a good ratio.

I'm talking about being in a constant state of ketosis which is a starvation mechanism, while our bodies are adapted for starvation, staying in that state will negatively impact the nervous system.

I get all my carbs from vegetables, and one to two servings of fruit a day and a bit of milk. Lots of vitamins and minerals or body needs are in fruits and veggies.
