1. Todd Carney

2. After the debacle that was the 2000 award, not a chance

3. Andrew Johns in 01 would be my pick. I can't judge the games of the 90s well enough as I was too young to be a good judge.

4. 2000 - Should have been Luke Phillips, without question.
2002 - Brad Fittler. No idea why he didn't get it. Seriously still boggles the mind

1. Anasta.
2. Possibly. A real standout like a Slater or a Lockyer could pick one up in a losing team.
3. O'Davis in 97 and Prince in 05 were standouts for me.
4. As others have said, BK over Joey in 01. He was unstoppable that day.

As an aside, who is the worst player to be listed among the greats in winning the Clive Churchill?

For me, it would be Brad Mackay. Geez he looks out of place there.

Priddis is terrible now, but deserving then.

1. Ben Creagh.

2. Dunno, although I reckon it'd be a pretty schidt memento to receive if you had just lost the grand final.

3. Priddo.

4. Based on the media hype, I cannot believe Hayne missecd out last year. He definitely should have got it. Ditto 2010 - no matter who wins, it should go to Idris. :D

1. Who will win this years Clive Churchill Medal ?
If Dragons win: Darius Boyd
If Roosters win: Braith Anasta

2. Do you think we will ever see a Clive Churchill medalist from the losing side again ?
Yes, but not in 2010.

3. Best Performance by a Clive Churchill medal winner ?
Priddis 2003; Johns 2001.

4. Which years did they make the wrong choice for Clive Churchill Medalist ? and who do you think should of won it instead ?
Not bothered. 1999 should have gone to Mundine, he was Melbourne's best player in the second half.

Just watching the 2002 grand final on fox, and f**k me drunk if this isn't the greatest travesty in league history that fittler was looked over for the medal on that day.

How fitzy can even look at that medal in his home and not feel supreme embarrassment is beyond me.

If he has any morals at all he will have given that award straight to Freddy back in the sheds as he was clearly the rightful winner

1. Who will win this years Clive Churchill Medal ?

I'll be taking Creagh and Boyd.

2. Do you think we will ever see a Clive Churchill medalist from the losing side again ?

Yes, it would be a bit of a hollow feeling for the recipient though wouldn't it?

3. Best Performance by a Clive Churchill medal winner ?

As much as I dislike the bloke I'd have to say Mason's performance was pretty dominant.

4. Which years did they make the wrong choice for Clive Churchill Medalist ? and who do you think should of won it instead ?

I can't remember to be honest. However I thought Stewart (the lock) was unlucky to miss out in 2008.

It's a little boring to go with the "obvious" choices here (Carney, Anasta, Pearce, Soward etc), so I will look outside the box a little.

Roosters: Nate Myles
Dragons: Ben Hornby

I expect Anthony Minichiello and Darius Boyd to have a huge influence on this game as well and the Churchill Medal may come from the winning fullback.
