Gus Gould was our GM who resigned Nathan Cleary to his current long term deal.

Our Chairman Dave O’Neill brought Ivan Cleary back to the club a decision which apparently was made without consultation with Gus and not long thereafter Gus was gone. The decision had no impact on the retention of Nathan Cleary who Gus had already secured on a deal thru to the of end of 2024.

I understand the world we are living in now, it precludes making any sort of joke around race, colour, sex or whatever. Regardless, neither you nor I know him personally, and for all we know frog could be as black as the ace of spades. The whole racism narrative today really pisses me off, but I came thru the whole Pom thing, the your a Mediterranean Descendant thing, it was words nothing more nothing less. No harm intended I am sure if that, it was just banter and no racist intent.

As a side note you asked for evidence around the Nathan Cleary situation and I have provided it, he was a Gould resigning nothing to do with his dad so I look forward to your response.

I am indigenous myself. The race card is called too much usually to over compensate for poor behaviour in the past like anything it will even out

I have been abused for calling my children monkeys at a park. I called them monkey cause of how high up they were and how quick they went up.

Im not a racist, never have been never will be. I have many close friends of many different racial backgrounds, makes no difference to me. We are all one.

The fact you are indigenous means nothing to this debate, we are and should be one.

Im not going to condemn someone for an innocent comment on a fan forum and nor should you. He may have made an innocent mistake with no racist intention intended.

Discrimination takes in many different forms and it includes bullying and I haven’t seen you on here calling out such acts of bullying so don’t take the moral high ground here in respect of racism.

I sort of remember conversations that maybe Nathan maybe a better dummy half, but I can’t remember anyone suggesting we should bring in Luke Brooks.
