he'd had to have been the comp's worst coach this decade with the cattle he had to work with. bennett has proved that with on field results with no better playing roster than browny did!

And you must be the dumbest poster on here tonight!

To even try and compare Brown vs Bennett is stupid - given the experience factor of Bennett and that he is a class above all of the other coaches in the comp, plus Brown was on a hiding to nothing coaching his former team mates.

And to say he is the comp's worst coach this decade - at least Freddy Fitler would have to be in front of him seeing Brown has at least made 2 prelim finals, Freddy is only looking likely for a spoon!

Considering my username this will seem strange but let it go Isaiah. We have a great side playing good football, don't dwell on past years.

Yeah its not a fair comparison. You have different players up against different teams.

Youd only be able to work out how much better he was v brown under the same conditions, which given all the variables in the game, is just about impossible.

Having said that, Bennett has shown tremendous consistency over a long period of time.

He is arguably, the greatest coach in rugby league history and if comparisons bewteen sports are possible, maybe one of the greatest coaches who ever lived, in any sport.

He did a long interview for the ABC last year, it was great listening. He couldnt quite hide his great intellect.

It must be a real thrill to have him at your club.

If you can win the grand final, it will still rate as a somewhat astonishing achievement. Something to sincerely relish.

You must be holding your breath!

Brownee decided to keep Prior over Houstin. Keep Hunt over Wicks and Recruit Dell. Maybe if Doust had got out of the box and let brownee coach.

You are a muppet.

All the early to mid-1990's basketball players are coming out tonight. First was Mr. Cooper and now Isaiah Rider, the former Minnesota Timberwolf.

Why stop with bad-mouthing Browny, Andrew Farrar and Craig Young deserve a spray too!!

Browny is doing quite well in reserve grade, I mean England. Huddersfield are in the Challenge Cup semis and not doing to badly in the Super League.

As Willow said, though, Browny's a good bloke but please stay in England.

I'm not sure on whether Brown was up to the man management side of coaching but there is no doubt IMO that he has ability as a coach. Brown left the club with great foundations, IMO. Bennett has more or less capitalised on it.

Look at the vast majority of players who came through at the club. Players like Prior, Saffy, Hunt who were all fringe players have become vital under Bennett. Then obviously we have got the likes of Cooper, Creagh, Hornby, Young, etc who are all important to the team and came through under Brown. Brown was one of the few who realised how good Scott was and he has been saying for ages that Michael Lett is a first grader and everyone is only realising it now. he also pursued Jeremy Smith year before last...

It was Brown's idea to move Soward to five eighth where he plays his best and Hornby at halfback to complement him (although Bennett ensured this was a permanent move).

We already had one of the best defences going around and played a highly structured game (although involving Gasnier so much was a difference and tbh was overkill) based on possession and field position.

Hes better than Current deadsh*ts like Taylor and Fittler.

Brown wasn't that bad and will become a good coach in time.

Yet no mention of Browns record versus Bennett...
It is a very good record. Nathans was thrown in at an early age. No experience and coaching his mates he played with every week. Not a good way to start your coaching career.
Anyone who has moved into a management position in any job and has to put pressure on mates you worked next to only days or weeks before to perform better is a very difficult position. I expect Browney was very uncomfortable being the GOV at the Dragons.
I would say he would be far from the worst coach of the last decade. Taylor, Fittler, even Elliott would be behind Browney.

Get over it you clown Brown was a coach with very little years as a lower grade coach and was thrown in the deep end with the 1st grade coaching job. On an overall rating you would give him at least 75 out of 100.....And something tells me he may one day come back to coach the Dragons a much more experienced coach and improve his ratings out of sight.
