Seriously? How can you forget his Tigers stint and what makes you think he learnt anything? I still haven't forgotten his Souths stint when he sent Greg Inglis back out on the field even though his left leg was hanging on by a single tendon. Maguire is the one bloke I don't want, he has the ability to totally de-motivate a team because they soon work out he cares nothing for their welfare.
LOL your take on McGuire is so far from the truth it’s not even funny. There’s a reason his players loved him and would do anything for him.

And this is from someone who was coached by him as a junior. McGuire definitely cares about his players.

Forget Ryles - I can promise you he’ll never coach the dragons.

Hasler or Flanagan would be my vote to get the joint in order nice and fast.

Seems ridiculous we actually had Flanagan and let him go. We also had Demetriou. Which is proof we can count on this board to completely f*** up the decision regardless of who is available.
I'm glad we let Flano go. Hope he stays gone.

I've not been coached by him, so I'll defer to your judgement in that respect. But I stand by what I saw, and the decision to leave Inglis on the field when seriously injured remains one of the more horrendous things I've seen on the field, and a complete disregard for his players welfare. Souths as a side went nowhere after that incident, and Maguire was sacked at the end of that season.

So when you say his players loved him, what is that based on? Because I saw no signs of heartache from the players when he left Souths and Wests (except maybe from Jackson Hastings).

Yep I agree 100% with your comments. One of my best mates came through the juniors at Souths under Madge and to this day swears by him 100%. Demands 100% on the training field, playing field and for the club. The players that meet that attitude and effort are well looked after and love the bloke. That’s a fact!

Absolutely nothing wrong with that and he can definitely weed out the bad apples and weak players with poor attitudes. Exactly what Saints need. I’d take him in a heartbeat

He was too tough for the Tigers and they pissed and moaned that he was too hard etc. There’s a reason why that playing group turned on him and just look at that basket case of a club. They have gone way backwards since Madge got the bullet. Madge was too nice of a bloke for those softies

Here's his record as coach for the Wests Tigers.

2019 - 9th
2020 - 11th
2021 - 13th
2022 - 16th

I genuinely don't understand why people think he would be the right coach for our club.

Going off the track record of the club, an experienced coach has worked however, Wayne is one of the best in the game and Sheens and Benji hasn't worked so far together at the Tigers.

Fitzy has done a great job and the younger coach matches the younger generation of player and the club can't sit on their own hands.

I'd go for Ryles and make an offer his can't refuse.

I really struggle with knowing how good a coach these guys that haven’t coached NRL are.

Ryles? Young? Hornby? Realistically I haven’t got a clue on them. They all have the advantage of getting experience outside our system.

Precisely. Even an experienced coach is trial and error. Nobody has any certainty. Put numbers in a hat and draw one out (But please just don’t include Flano or Young).

Certainly seems to have worked for the Warriors taking a punt on a rookie coach in Andrew Webster.
They look a different team!

For me, it has to be Hasler for coach.

Dean Young needs to go to the ESL and prove himself as a head coach.

Good call Coffs Dragon. Webster is doing a fantastic job. Goes to show how much impact a great coach can have. They look a completely different outfit. They play so well and composed.

Good proof that a rookie coach can do the job if given the chance but lets wait till the end of the season before we jump the gun on Webster, but so far I like what he has done that is for sure.

It'll never happen but the Gordons should be making Bellamy an offer he couldn't refuse.

He's the best coach available and will guarantee we are vying for a premiership with 2-3 years.

I know I'm dreaming but I wish we had an owner that demanded success.

I don't like Bellendmy.
