I was told essentially saying that Smith has asked for a release to go to Newcastle for family reasons but the sharks were holding out for compensation.
We were negotiating a deal where we got Sau and Newcastle paid part of his salary.
Since Sau decided to sign with storm, we may not release him.

That's what I was told about 2 months ago so i hope he stays.

Things may of changed, I dunno, I haven't asked since. I thought it was a dead story.

That seems to be a consistent story to what members around here have shared with me however as you said that was 2 months ago and things seem to have changed.

Us holding out and wanting a better deal with the Knights and coming up short may not be a bad thing if we sign the right backs. We should be banging down the down on Earl and KFFL.
