Blair has returned from injury, Matt Rua is also on the bench this week for the Storm. With signing Newton they have a number of forwards. Backs look to be there bbiggest worry with Sika Manu named at centre and he is normally a second rower.

I think Ennis has a condition in his ontract where he can play another year if he wants, which is why it hasn't come up in the media.

Eastwood, Hodges and Civo are expected to sign for next year, Carlaw will more than likely leave and Thorn will probably retire.

Were going to lose some guys who are on big salaries (Berrigan, Thorn, Carlaw, Tate)

And guys like Michaels, Boyd and Moon are not going to be on big money.

I refuse to believe any of those guys are on more than 220-250k or so.

Thorn and Carlaw are worth half that.

Even though we are totally speculating about players salaries here, 4 x 250k = 1 million. thats around %30 of the salary cap for 4 guys. Id say that definetaly gives them some room to move when it comes to signing 2 players (who arent on huge money) and upgrading a few contracts.

But hey its the standard response of deadsh*ts everytime a club signs or is linked to a player on this forum. Anyone read the "Storm sign Newton" thread. "salary cap breach anyone". Getting soooooo old, lame, and crap. Maybe you wish your club had an environment where players would take a paycut to stay??

word is Wallace is on 280k with you, and I wouldn't expect Clinton to be on much less.

have a look at the rest of your squad, and try to fit the puzzle pieces together.

a guy like Dave Taylor (for example) would be in FG and earning 150+ at another club.

its puzzling that some clubs seem to put together stacked squads and others struggle to get 17 NRL standard players.
