Hodgson to join Huddersfield

May 15, 2008
WEST Tigers skipper Brett Hodgson will join English Super League club Huddersfield on a two-year deal at the end of the 2008 NRL season.
Off-contract Hodgson says the salary cap and little interest from other NRL clubs made it a straight forward decision.

Hodgson has played 212 first grade games and six State Of Origin matches for NSW.

blair re signing is great news, but it fuels the speculation that i think were gonna lose jeremey smith and possibly sika manu, i remember afew weeks ago there was an article saying that between the 5 players (lima, blair, smith, manu and tagataese) we could only afford to re-sign "2 maybe 3" of them...

hmmmmmmm

Not sure if it's been mentioned, given there was a news article with a strong suggestion of it, but Fox Sports News are reporting on their News alert thing that Kimmorley has signed with the Dogs for two years. Not that anyone didn't know...but it's official, so  at Canterbury

Geez I'm stoked about our recruitment so far. Re-sign Carney, Purts and Goodwin ... bring in Shillo & Flanagan ... and now sign an experienced tactical coach to partner a passionate and talented young coach in Dave Furner.

In a years time when he seeks a release to come back to the Cowboys i look forward to hearing how he is a crap coach anyway and you wish he would leave now.:sarcasm:

NORTH Queensland have received a timely boost with the news that prop Carl Webb has renewed his contract for an additional two years until the end of 2010.
Webb has played 63 first grade games for the Cowboys since signing in 2005, and his powerful running and defensive game has earned him the reputation as a fearsome opponent.

Cowboys CEO Peter Parr is delighted to have retained the hard man.

"This is a terrific signing for the club. Carl has played his best football at the Cowboys and we look forward to that continuing," Parr said.

Webb is an experienced representative player, with one test for Australia this year and 11 State of Origin games for Queensland.
