Not denying the kid has talent, just find it odd that a press conference is needed for the resigning of an 18 year old.

a lot of rumour that he wouldnt be back this year, let alone re-signing for another year. He was home sick and missing family in QLD. Given that and his immense talent, i guess thats why they felt it was important to show him we're serious about him being a big part of our future

Fair enough. Makes sense I suppose.

No need to be a smart arse, I was mainly reporting the fact that Bronson had been released from Canberra, as that had been confirmed yesterday.

sorry if you took it the wrong way - just some harmless fun with all the imminent signings?.

The St George Illawarra Dragons have today announced the signing of Bronson Harrison to a two-year contract that will see him join the Club until at least the end of 2014.

The New Zealand international has been released by the Canberra Raiders where he made 83-first grade appearances between 2009-12. The second-rower began his career with Wests Tigers in 2004 and has made a career total of 162 NRL appearances to date.

?The Dragons are a fantastic club with a proud tradition and great record and I?m looking forward to joining them,? said Harrison. ?I want to thank them for giving me an opportunity to continue my NRL career and I can?t wait to join the players for pre-season training.?
Harrison, 27, will join the Club for pre-season training immediately.

Have we still not learned that talented 18 year olds can completely disappear by 21?

of course they can
but ask any NRL CEO if they'd rather have the most talented U18's player in the country or not have him and i can guarantee you'll get 16 have's
