Depth is a good thing, we no longer need them as we have so many kids coming through who look the goods.

The fact we've signed so little and lost so much points to money going in the bank for something... or someone big :)

you fail to recognise the upgrades players like Barba, Morris and Ennis got and we were always hearing that Ryan was front loaded and wasn't taking up much of the cap for 2011, who knows. James Graham didn't come for peanuts that's for sure.

No not at all, to clear it up. Barba was upgraded and would of been a decent upgrade, Graham also would of been a pretty expensive signing.

Ennis and Morris would not of got much of an upgrade, Ennis according to alot of you has gone "backwards" since Broncos so hardly going to be commanding 500k anyhow.

As for our depature list Ryan was our captain he would of been on a few hundred thats for sure, Idris was offered 400k which he knocked back and has been replaced by Lafai who was already under contract and is a kid from our 20's.

Tandy and Hickey were one some pretty solid money and i'd expect blokes like Paea, Hodgson, Millington, Armit etc would of been on around the 100k mark if not more.

Throw in Tia Kifili, Cutler, Morrin, Warburton and a few other nuffies and i'm sure we are poised for something :)

Tia Kifili was confirmed by the dogs recently although we all knew about it ages ago, as for millington and cutler fresh as today i believe.

List is now like.

Incoming : Graham, Luke McDougall, Gavet

Outgoing : Ryan, Idris, Tandy, Hickey, Roberts, Hodgson, Paea, Armit, Millington, Tia Kifili, Seizer, Warburton, Morrin, Cutler.

Can garantee out of our top 25 ryan, idris, tandy, hickey, roberts, hodgson, paea, armit, millington where all a part. Not so sure on the rest.

You can add: Warburton, Tia Kilifi were. Morrin was not. Hickey was released last year.

Uaisele is hopeless... must be a depth signing.
We don't need backline depth. We only lost Tahu, Daniela will cover that loss. Add Mansour (Bears), The back 3 from our NYC we are stronger then this year in the backs.

Tia-Kilifi played some backrow in NSW Cup so he might become permanant there. Possibly the same for Uaisele. Both could be the hard running backrower we need.

Dragons Re-Sign Trio
15/11/2011 12:16:15 PM
The St George Illawarra Dragons have today announced the re-signing of Nick Emmett, David Gower and Jake Marketo for an additional season that will see the trio remain at the Club at least until the end of the 2012 season.

Emmett, 29, joined the Club in 2009 from the Brisbane Broncos and made his Dragons debut in Round 9 of that season against the North Queensland Cowboys.

The Hervey Bay junior has played 41 NRL games in total to date but was sidelined for the majority of the 2011 campaign through injury.

Marketo, 22, made his first-grade debut for the Dragons in Round 11 of the 2010 season against the Canberra Raiders and has since played 5 NRL games in total.

The Holy Cross junior was previously an integral part of the Dragons Toyota Cup team and played in the National Youth Competition between 2008 and 2009.

Gower, 25, joined the Club in 2011 from Wests Tigers and made his Dragons debut in Round 3 of the season against the New Zealand Warriors.

The fellow Holy Cross junior has played 6 NRL games in total to date.

Dragons CEO Peter Doust is pleased with the re-signing of these players and believes they will continue proving valuable contributors to the overall squad.

“I am pleased that Nick, Jake and David have decided to re-sign for a further year with the Club as they will form a valuable part of our squad under Head Coach Steve Price,” said Doust.

The Dragons have also formally released Michael Greenfield from the final year of his Dragons contract having played 12 NRL games during his two-year tenure at the Club.
