It's not opinion, it was the inside word. Still, either as prop or second-rower, a lot have been surprised he has gone to the Dogs with the amount of guys supposedly ahead of him in both positions. Both the Eels and Panthers were also interested (the Eels having signed his younger brother, too) -- clubs he would arguably be closer to top grade in. That would suggest his decision to go the Dogs was based on money. If your club offered more money, then perhaps they hold him higher that you assume they do -- time will tell.
Well fancy 'seeing you on here' DV - how's things mate!
He's REALLY rated by Dimmock AND Hasler. Des wanted him signed up in June but Cleary, at that time, had him pushing hard for a topside spot and even with the current Warriors line up he would've been the next cab off the rank after such a strong NSWC showing. No less than 6 clubs wanted him signed at that stage.
Bluey wasn't confident he could work with him so a mutual agreement meant he could/would look for other opportunities - that's some oil I didn't share on the other forum. In November, Manley, Wests, Canterbury and Parra, who were interested initally withdrawing due to Mannah's arrival and other internal promotions (Juniors).
The Dogs got the nod due to Dimmock/Hasler (2013) being here and the 'club culture' and not so much on current prop/secondrow stocks. Dogs will see how good he is in the pre-season matchups. In some ways it's good he's a bit of an unknown - NSW Prop of Year aside; nothing wrong with slipping under the radar from the get-go.
