To be honest, injury or not he was never going to the Knights. All his injury has done is allow us to re-sign him a bit cheaper than we otherwise would have.
Great news to have locked up another 1 club player for life. Now for Morgs and Hess

Not every player signs just because of money, he's a Mackay boy so it isn't mind blowing to think he'd re-sign anyway. Why was he never going to the Knights?? Knights were offering more money per year and an extra year = somewhere in the vicinity of a million dollars worse off I'd reckon....
Yeah.
That's why we re-signed him.....

But the fact Scott is interested in visiting the Knights is evidence the Test front-rower will explore every option as he mulls over the final contract of his decorated NRL career.
Scott’s management is seeking $2.5m over three years. The Knights have yet to table a formal offer but have discussed a two-year deal worth $800,000 annually, with the possibility of an option for a third season in 2020.
It is understood the Cowboys’ two-year package, which includes an option in the club’s favour for 2019, is worth around $1.2 million.
That means Scott, who turns 32 in July, stands to sacrifice around $1 million if he opts to stay loyal to the Cowboys.

Yeah I just realised that when I typed it, Im getting him mixed up with someone else I think.Illfracombe is about as close to Mackay as Townsville is to Rocky..... ;-P
Lets be realistic, the cowboys probably would of preferred to let him go after the knee injury.
After the injury it certainly wasn't.
maybe he wants to play in a good team and possibly win another premiership, who knows
Lol

Was always staying. Qld spirt. Etc etc
