I would not want a 2.4m/3yr Josh Schuster contract on the books. He's definitely talented and it could all work out ok, but i reckon he's got heavy whiffs of early career Bryce Cartwright... lot of highlights but hell of a lot of very ugly football and not putting in the work off the park

Why? The whole team is under the microscope and very little focus on individuals - most of the team is taking heat. More on Teddy of course but that’s because he’s also failing at rep level as well which has pissed off an entire state.

And at 6. He's a better signing than Schuster. Dude might have talent but he's a lazy fat plod most of the time. If that doesn't change, Manly just pissed away 800k.

I think the value of the Brooks signing will depend on what the plan is with DCE over the next few years. I wouldn't want Brooks being my #7 but as a #6 next to someone like DCE I reckon Manly will get value.

I feel they are hoping that in 2yrs time once DCE retires that he can lead the team if he had learnt enough. At 5/8th I think he will go much better.
