No one else was interested as far as I am aware so we can kind of pay what we want. ESL would be an obvious option but I am hearing he wants to return to Sydney.

According to Robbo he won't be starting, Sandon Smith will be.

This is a great example of why the NRL putting a minimum value on players wouldn't work. In this case, they would literally be preventing someone from being employed at a club.

It would probably be challenged as a restraint of trade by a player as it would be applied to them individually, and have a fairly high chance of being successful in doing so.

Tbh part of me is upset the blokes abusing BA every day on here and elsewhere didn't get stuck with TBaz. That would've been hilarious. So it could have been worse. But it'll be funny to see how fast the Parra forum turns on him if he's worse than BA. Which is statistically more likely than not.
