Confirmed USA Teams for 2014

This is how I kind of feel, clearly BK has a stake in RL in the US and has the passion to move the game forward, I would think the USARL would be working very closely with him to pull things together. Is it too late to pull things together?

The USARL is much stronger with the AMNRL teams involved, hence their pursuit of all AMNRL teams. I still think it would be better to absorb all teams as a group than one at a time. The season doesn't start until June so I would think there would be plenty of time. There are still some very big question marks in the USARL. There were a lot of BLOW OUT scores last year and there are teams that are being counted on to contribute that either have no track record or a pretty weak track record of performance. Then you have only 5 teams from the AMNRL and other concerns as well.

My main hope is that they can use these 2 months to figure things out and form one league.

FW, How can we work with BK closely, he has no authority to negotiate or help and obviously CC doesn't want his help after his posts. And we don't have 2 months to get this done. We have obligations to our sponsors/teams/players/fans with announcing our schedule and moving forward with our season to secure venue dates, travel plans etc. We usually announce it in early January and would prefer earlier.

We would be stronger with your teams and make the competition better and ease the travel burden on all with full conferences. How are we going to absorb the teams all at once, you all made it very clear you are staying put and are confident in your AMNRL leadership. Why would we delay any longer?

You are sure defensive of someone you have never met or heard of before some months ago...And for the record; I have met, spoke, played against Curtis. I have retired from the game now and as I stated a fan.

As for my reference, see here - facebook.com/ben.kelly.5203/posts/10152248047425169 (Curtis' FB name is "WildHawk League")

Defensive? More like not jumping to conclusions on someone I have never met, spoken to or had anything to do with.
There is more than 2 Sides to every story. And I dont take someones post on a forum as the gospel truth, especially when a person has only just opened an account the day that they post their opinions on someone.
You obviously have some bias towards one side over the other, and it seems that comes from personal relationships you have with individuals involved.

Now for my personal opinion on the matter, the USARL seem to have their shyt together. And are the obvious choice for moving the game forward in the USA. I hope they become the official governing body of RL in the USA.

Have a look at both the AMNRL and USARL web sites. One is up to date, informing it's supporters of the season ahead and other interesting league topics. The other hasn't been updated in an age nor likely to be so.Who would you want to carry the game forward?I know my choice.

So there is still no AMNRL schedule...Can't be that hard to schedule a season for 5 teams...Can it?

Anybody hear anything new about what's happening with the AMNRL 2014 competition? Almost May and things are very quiet.

I heard that they were planning to merge with another domestic competition for the greater good of the game, however talks went quiet....

Another domestic competition... what other competition aside from the USARL is there... or is that who you refer to?

According to the Connecticut Wildcats FB page they are starting training today/this week. So they will be playing somebody at some point (they are participating in the 9's tourney), I assume. Still no schedule though...

Supposedly the reason why there is an official AMNRL schedule published as yet is because they are looking to "combine schedules" with the USARL. Not necessarily a "unification", of the two leagues. USARL is putting it to a vote. VERY interested in seeing how this turns out. However, I highly doubt anything would change at this point since the USARL season starts next week.

Rugger, I don't think that is the sole reason there is no schedule, but I will agree that it is a contributing factor.

Well I have it on good authority that there will not be an AMNRL season contested for 2014, officially.

I'm sure your source is good; my point was that the potential merger was not the only reason there was no schedule out of the AMNRL. The USARL always left the door open to the AMNRL while developing and publishing our own schedule.

It is a shame if they do not compete this season.

All their players are welcome to play with any local USARL team this year so they don't lose a season.

It will be a disaster if there is no AMNRL season, will this push the remaining clubs to join the US comp for 2015?

And someone in the know say all remaining teams jump for next season, could they even be accomodated into the league? is there room for that large of an expansion as that would be a 17 team comp, not to mention the small prospect of Oneida and New Haven rejoing
