The NRL tell clubs what their expectations are. Likely we just did what we were told.

IIRC the NRL wanted Semi stood down for contemplating going to RU when he went walkabout.

Playing Semi after he kept extending his stay in Fiji was a mistake. I always said that he should have been stood down for that game.

Sorry mate but we did not know at that time what the future would be with Foran leaving and Norman continually playing up. Discipline is everything.

I agree that discipline is important, but I'm not sure standing him down achieves anything.

At least this year we've gone into most games with a better than 50/50 chance of winning. Everything else sucks, but...f**k...I've enjoyed the footy a heap more.

I'll let you merkins argue about which proven disaster is better at running the club than another proven disaster.

Norman told the club he was innocent, hence why the club put out a statement saying they'd support him until his day in court, and innocent until proven otherwise. I don't think they knew the guilty plea was coming..

I've no doubt we will keep fighting, but he's our sole attacking spark now Semi is out (though I suppose French goes alright, too). I don't see us winning many more, or having a genuine 50-50 shot...

Sometimes pleading guilty and copping a few hundred fine is better than pleading not guilty. The matter then being adjourned so you can call a heap of witnesses who won't appreciate being in the spotlight.

I can tell you one thing my mate isn't any of the maggots in the current board, past boards or anything like that. You would be surprised who he is.
