Hope your right re Norman...but not in regard to Widdop's injury
But it is not as if it is the 1st time James Hooper supposedly got a big story wrong.

Given the fact NORMAN and HUNT have played together for the DONKEYS the long term should see them play HALF and FIVE EIGHT with widdop at CENTRE and switching with DUFFMAN in defence.well if I was coach that's what I would do .MARY well that's anyone's guess...........

If Dufty is to be at fullback, the only place left on the field for Norman is left centre. Of course while holding this position you can be sure that he, Widdop and Hunt will combine on set plays to provide some very creative attacking play that might just be the highlight of the season.

The true fact is we are all just guessing as to his role with us in 2019. It could be fullback, it could be 5/8, if fould be from the bench who really knows?

The other point here is that we have stiff competition for places in the team which in itself is a good thing. We also now have a suitable backup for Widdop, particularly if something happens to him early in the season, otherwise we would have to rely on a fairly young rookie in field or have to reach down further and have Nicholls for the entire season as the 5/8. I think this is the true signing urgency for Norman.

norman of the bench next year with parra helping with the cap works for me

I agree.

He can prove his worth and his level of commitment to the red v off the bench and earn the 5/8th spot when Widdop is done...

Widdop to CENTRE seems like a waste
Why is it a waste he's leaving at the end of the season orangeman.plus it gives the dragons the right balance hunt/Norman halves dufty fullback McInnes hooker keeps the spine together for the next few seasons.

I wonder if Norman is coming in 2019 would mean Widdop might not be playing with us in 2019. I am just being pessimistic

it’s a waste as firstly Widdop is more of an organiser/runner than a centre so we wouldn’t be optimising his skills there... and for the cash we’re paying him we would be better off letting him go early and target a specialist centre.

Yes this is a possibility along with many other possibilities. I can't see SGI paying big bucks for a bench player and really can't see us playing Widdop in the centres.

I'd say it will be Norman to either fullback or centre. If Dufty goes well, it will be Lafai in ISP asking for a release prior to June 30 2019.
