If the death toll in Australia explodes from here that will mean these measures we are taking didn't work making them largely pointless at which stage you may as well open everything up.

That's absolutely the worst thing you could do. The measures have to be much harder and now. We are potentially leaving all medical professionals as lambs to a slaughter, let alone anyone the elderly and those with health problems.

Opening everything up will leave hundreds of thousands dead and make it so much harder to recover from, emotionally and financially, not to mention destroying the countries international standing.

They aren't getting a 23 round season in. The AFL is pushing it at 17.

Even if hypothetically they are fine by June, how are you getting in 23 rounds plus finals...

Lets bare in mind the ICC cricket World Cup is in Australia and this the SCG is out of bounds any later than November.

We should have started a week or two earlier (zero interruption for clubs), then we'd have 4 round in right now. Then shorten the season to everyone playing each other once, that's it.

If the SCG was unavailable then Suncorp would be the option I would go with

AFL share their fields with Cricket. T20 World Cup and India touring this year will ensure cricket wins.
