It might seem like they were on a deserted beach but we don’t know. What I do know from trail riding, is that other trail riders are often where one might go to ride and where other members of the public are absent. You could be in the middle of the bush but if it’s a good place to ride, there’s a good chance other likeminded folk are there too.

Just one story I’ve heard that comes to mind, a bloke is riding solo in the bush. Has a head-on with two kids riding mx bikes (generally they cannot be registered). They flee the scene and leave this poor bloke to possibly die. He didn’t but the fact they knew that they’d be in trouble because of being unregistered meant they fled, instead of rendering assistance like any decent person would.
