So everyone stays home to watch the Sunday footy... but come monday millions will be be crammed into trains and buses going to work. Hmmmm sounds like a useful plan.

I was on a packed train today thinking exactly this, what a f**kin germ trap pretty sure I caught everything under the sun.

This closed door shit won't last long if players become infected.. just like the NBA, Toddy should've taken their lead & just delayed the start of a season rather than playing 1-2 f**king rounds then can the lot for god knows how long.

So if teams are playing behind closed doors, is there any real need to play at expensive stadiums.. why use Suncorp, bankwest, ANZ etc when decent quality smaller venues could be used.. Dolphin oval or Langlands Park in Brissie, any number of decent suburban venues in Sydney??? If clubs are fearing lost revenue why make them fork out huge unnecessary stadium rentals.

They’re trying to limit things where they can. It’s not as simple as literally shutting down our entire society but mass gatherings is something we can prevent and is a huge source of potential spread. We’re also trying to stop massive sudden spread as that would cripple our healthcare system. Also you’re right that the containment measures might and likely will end up going significantly further then they currently are if the spread continues.

The doctor read the email at the start of the interview detailing what was happening in Italy!

I skipped forward about two minutes of the podcast cause the add he was doing, sounded like I was at the start but I must've of missed this. Will check it again.

I've never said that this isn't a major deal, just that I don't trust that doctor because he uses unverified emails as evidence!

round 2 , fans locked out,
The NRL and the clubs are preparing for a season shutdown or for games to be played in front of empty stadiums as the rapidly evolving coronavirus takes hold of world sport.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison delivered a press conference Friday afternoon when he announced the Government’s advice to ban organised events with an audience of more than 500 people.

Fair point, IF the playing surfaces are up to scratch.

It would be terrible if players got injured on a substandard pitch, used to save a few dollars.

f**k it. Let’s do this. If players get infected they get stood down.

Let’s test the real depth of our clubs. Can’t wait to see Mary and Youngy strap on the boots. Hopefully Jorge is unaffected when Mary plays.

A very informative video on the timeline of COVID-19.

The next pandemic is here- here's everything you need to know about it. A disease named COVID-19 is tearing across the planet, with cases in over 100 different countries. In this video, we cover the outbreak of the Coronavirus - what is it, where did it come from, how can you protect yourself, and how worried should you be?

I wonder.. if a fan lockout is in place from round 2 onwards, would that include games in New Zealand?

If not, I wonder if some teams would be tempted to move games here.. especially if they have a home game before or after an away game to the Warriors....

I think if Australia says games must be played behind closed doors then NZ will follow and have a similar policy, especially if more people catch the virus in NZ
