It was probably a Dragons supporter who made the “anonymous” tip.

The police know the insider only as “The Painter”

it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if true, they’re an arrogant enough bunch to pull this crap in the first place, it’s not insane to suggest they think they can hid in closets or under furniture and not get found. You think they would be humble enough to hold their hands up?
By that same token it’s not as if merkiny, Slothfield and the bald idiot are much better when it comes to integrity so I would be taking what they say with a grain of salt.

I have just seen that Vaughan did and interview with NRL 360 and I cannot believe agreed to this. Surely that someone close him, such as his manager, would have warned him that he was walking into an ambush and advised him against it. In what world would those idiots on the panel given him a fair go?

I’m also bemused that Ray Hadley is casting judgement on the program. It’s not as if he’s got a lot of respect for due process given the amount of times he has been taken to court. If I were Vaughan I would definitely fought back with this and pointed out the fact that a serial workplace bully is hardly in a position to be casting moral aspersions about someone’s behaviour.

He was probably the only one on a final warning.
Many people are going to disagree but in my opinion sacking a bloke for this is a massive overreaction. Yes he made a mistake but it is hardly the crime of the century. What we all need to remember is that there is a lot of sensationalism flying around with the ultimate aim of hyperbolising what occurred. Someone has already correctly pointed out that News Ltd shows and publications have buzz words which they use to amplify the egregiousness of the incident. This dovetails nicely with what the same rhetoric that the government is using in order to get people feeling scared about the pandemic and justify the need for a lockdown given that we only have something like 30 cases a day.

This article looks like something that should have been posted on the Betoota Advocate. Its so cringeworthy how these flog journos are trying to tear all meat remaining on this bone. For instance, did we really need a diagram showing how Jack De Belin hid under a bed or how Corey Norman legged it down the street? Actions such as these are not exactly hard to visualise.
