because that happens all* the time doesn't it.

*whereby once is equivalent to 'all the time'

Police tasered an aboriginal about 30 times in custody in WA recently.

Another bloke was tasered for non compliance to police on oxford street recently
as well. Tasers are not supposed to be used for compliance.

The prison officers union want to use tasers to keep prisoners in line and have been
told to go and get fu@#cked by the attorney general greg smith. Thank god he isn't
a raving lunatic like half the blokes on here.

Spoke to a mate of mine today who is a criminal lawyer. In his opinion (and his opinion only) he was telling me that the charge of murder will probably stick to Craig Field and the other man, and won't be downgraded to voluntary or involuntary manslaughter. The reason being that before the man died Field and the other man were charged with grievous bodily harm, which means you intended to hurt someone. Once the man died it got bumped up to murder because of the intent of the initial act (i.e., GBH).

Does anybody know why the other man (sean fathers) is being charged with murder?
What did he do to the victim?

The Police are infallible, you can trust them. Nothing wrong with three blokes tasering
a man without a shirt whose first language isn't English in the back on suspicion of
stealing biscuits.

The guy's mistake was he went for the iced Vovos not the saos.

Yep, and like clockwork you can bet that cab driving fascist prick Hadley to get Scipione on the blower the next day peddling the police line and absolving them of any blame, whilst in the background the bent pricks are getting their story straight.

NSW Police Media peddles as much fiction as Amazon & Dymocks combined.

It is no surprise the folk of LU are too blind to read into things and think for themselves. By and large folk of LU are league fans, the same section of society that has seen a talentless brain dead spastic like Vautin last 20 years on TV with a level of comedy that is about as humourous as NSW cops are ethical

My guess would be so that his life is on edge for 2 years, his head racing and the cops can say `go on mate, give us the version of events that lets the charge stick to Field and we'll drop your charges'. Pack of unethical kharnts.

NSW is very lucky to have greg smith as its attorney general.

There are two other ingredients missing.

*Razor talking about virgins
*Moffo with big financial news

we're close though

This thread is nowhere close to Razor and hymens or Moffo's finanical planning.

This thread is a direct result of freedom of speech and the debate that makes a democracy great.

One thing is certain, it will make for a great trial if Craig pleads not guilty.

I have no idea sorry mate. All I know is that two men have been charged with murder. As the investigation continues, maybe one of the two men's charge's will be downgraded (but that's only my guess). I'll ask my mate for you.

Party liability.

May include abets, incites or counsels... as well as more obvious and overtly positive acts.

Abetting may possibly include mere presence: R v Coney, Wilcox v Jeffery... Which can now include ommitting to act (a real legal hotbed of debate cf R v Coney with Wilcox v Jeffrey or R v Clarkson with Valmae Faye Beck), where it is possible that by not doing anthing to stop the crime, you are deemed to be positively encouraging the crime.

This case just gets more and more interesting.

Thanks Antilag, much appreciated. Yeah it is getting interesting, it's a shame it's been adjourned until August 21 (I think).

Agree with what you said about hearing different opinions. Even though I might not agree with some or think some people's opinions are crazy, it's good we can jump on here and hear each other out.

If you don't push the mass media line, you will get called a tin foil hat conspiract theorist here. Unless it's danny wiedler or frothfield, that's about the only time LU disagrees with the media.

Never been arrested or had any run in with the police, I just don't wish to live in a police
state. I have been stopped regularly by police since adulthood on the grounds I am a
large adult male. It doesn't take much imagination to wonder what it would be like to be
and Aboriginal, ie. a 1000 times worse.

Your Police Power argument is semantic rubbish. No, it isn't the kind of power where they
can tell you to stand still or they will taser you. It is a far more insidious and dangerous
power. Making police superior to civilians in the eyes of the law is a very dangerous power,
and a step on the road to making them untouchable.

Additionally, a policeman killed on duty accidentally (not murdered) in the act of a
wrong doing would result in a mandatory life sentence.

My "irrational rants" would be considered mainstream at any University in Australia.

You are a f*cking idiot
