Cricket Crap

Good luck having the Australian public accept the Australian cricket team overseas any time in December or early to mid January.

We've also basically accepted 2 test series vs Pakistan, SL and WI henceforth.

NZ are the winners, keeping their 3 test series. But I always loved having 6 tests - 3/3 split. I also was hoping down the track for more tests - maybe 7.

Cricket's heading down a dark hole. And I can't see it fixing itself.

Test championship has been talked about yonks ago, I did a thread on it years and years ago, has never gotten off the ground

T20 has grown out of sight (more matches this season as an example). talk of more sides in the next year or two. Something has to give

Well judging by the scheduling, it has now...At least for the next few seasons.

We're away as of February every season, which sucks.

Why????

f**k we are the BCCI’s bitches.

Indias complimentary thank you (ie. $$$) for winning test series first time in Australia

Setting up the WC Ambush nicely. England and India clear favourites and will crumble under pressure.
It's all part of the master plan.

Yes yes, India thrash us 5-0 over there on 'sub continent' wickets can only favour us nicely on English soil
They (and the world) wont know what hit them...

You know you're in trouble when Greg Ritchie is having a crack. He didn't exactly set the world on fire during his career.

While I agree with your first sentence - i also agree which his assessment in the link. Ian Chappell's also.. which for me simplistically sums up the situation.

“If we’re being brutally frank, they’re just not good enough.

“It’s a no-win situation for the selectors because you can toss a few out but there is nothing much to replace them with.”

As for the solution... it's sadly not that simple
