Ok, firstly fellas I was not here becuase I was at a club watching the game. As for Kalac he was below average but he mad some good stops and only had 1 real blunder. Will he play in the next game- don't know probally not. His performance tonight was not his usual great performance. Thats it for me.

I'm happy I've been making DVD's of all the Aussie games (and others) so far ... who needs a PVR when all you need is your computer and a good capture card! (and a DVD burner and a big hard drive and a long S-Video cable from the Foxtel box set to 16:9 on a 4:3 output and heaps of software with lots of time to edit and then convert the resulting video into DVD form then burn it onto DVD ... maybe it is easier to just get a set-top PVR!)

Ummmmm...I think I'll just wait for SBS to put one out after the tournament :lol:

If Schwarzer did what Kalac did today you would have attacked him like no tomorrow and called for his head. You are being awfully nice to Kalac who played far worse than Schwarzer did against Brazil and you gave it to him for it.

One plays for AC Milan, the side I follow, one plays for Middelsbrough. That may sum it up. In the end both performances were just as bad as each other. It will come down to Hindik's view for the Italy game.

Kalac nearly lost us the game and the second round. Below average is way too kind. He was disgraceful.

Kalac's performance tonight was 10 times worse than Schwarzer's against Brazil. He is still the best we have after Schwarzer and I hope he doesn't get too down over it.

I also hope the media don't crucify him either as that would just be unfair.

You've outdone yourself again Locky. FFS Shwartzer wasn't even that bad against Brazil. Kalic's effort was one of the worst keeper performances Ive ever seen in any soccer game ever. Total disgrace. Kalic should be forever banished from being anywhere near a Australian team again. If we lost, he would be forever demonised, and quite rightfully so - that second goal was just inexcusable, as well as some of his clearances.

I believe that Poll lost control towards the end there. That Croatian player should have left the pitch after he got the red. The last 10 minutes was just utter chaos.

Once again, we showed the Australian way - never giving in.

Bring on Italy - we're a chance.

Just on Kalac, yes he had a shocker, but can we lay of the kick him out of the country stuff. This guy has been in the aussie squad for a decade and got the job done (53 caps I believe). And he has always put country before club to be there.

Not a defence on his performance last night, it was crap and he shouldn't be there next game. But he made a mistake (a few) and sh*t happens. Luckily for us it didn't end up being costly. Lets give him a break, we escaped, he'll be beating himself up enough, he knows. He's still and aussie.
