Agree wtih Popper. If it wasn't for 78, I probably wouldn't hate the cheating pharks so much. But 78 was a tragedy for everybody. The players may get their enjoyment, but that is until somebody like me reminds them of how sour their journey was to that Victory. 5 semi finals all refereed by Hartley who gave them 7 tackles in every game.
I have reminded Wombat, Fulton(that was fun as it nearly ended in a punch up,but he was too busy trying to punch on with his own players), Mooney, Harvey & Krilich.
The sharks had 7 key players missing including the captain & the best front rower in the comp in Sorenson.
They went on to lose 5 more players through injury for the replay & were full of no names.
Sad day & a tragedy for everybody.

My dad played in the 78 final for manly, thats why I hate them

Funny thing is, I know a few of those players personally, played country footy with a few & against a few, & it amazes me how little time they have for each other.

Still very much shattered that he is gone and I was probably too harsh with my comments about Kade.

Just very frustrated at the time.

The guy has just won lotto so I can't blame him.

Just a damn shame because our Club has made him the player he now is.

He was very over weight and undisciplined at the Knights.

And never given a fair dinkum go.


But in the end lets get this in perspective he plays 40minutes for the Club in each match. We are not losing an 80 minute player like a Gallen or a Tupou.

He can be replaced. We just need a Johnny Mannah to step up with the aggression and power like we saw last weekend and we have our Snowden replacement.

Players like Vave and Clayton in N.S.W Cup.

Joel Tubbs, Tyrone Viiga and Rodney Coates in NYC.

Are all coming through nicely.

if he is leaving, i say we work him like a dog. may as well get full use.

but we also need to see vave, Clayton and others in firsts during the season.

i hold no grudges. he has an opportunity to et himself up for life in a career where the adverage is less than 100 games?

I'm disappointed to be losing Snowy, but hey he didn't turn his back on us, he's going back to the club he supported as a kid on huge dollars. Probably every player in the league would make the same decision if they had that opportunity.

Our biggest blunder was announcing the press conference before we re-signed him. Shoulda sealed the deal before making it public. Trying to create a good public image has been Cronulla's downfall on several occasions, e.g. Bird. Cronulla's antics sometiimes seem so amateurish when compared to the top clubs. Still, what's done is done. Johnny Mannah's form is beginning to impress. Perhaps we won't miss Snowden as much as we think we will.
