on a sunny Sunday afternoon I wouldn't call it great. Ok but but not great.

Good crowd at Brisbane.

It was close to full. The stands were probably 85% full and the hill was full with lots of people standing. Sure, not as jam packed as you need for 19k...but very covered.

It was about 82% of current capacity which made it a great afternoon

Knights V Souths .. 33K a record crowd for the Knights with a sellout if a fine night , seriously has there been a better set up for this .... winner in .. loser mad monday as simple as that.Bunnies fans to come out from under the rock they've been hiding under all year in huge numbers for this one.

Dragons V Penrith 18K
Warriors V Cowboys 20K.. a home final possibly on offer
Sharks V Tigers 15K
Titans V Parra 15K .. prestos last game will drag a few out
Dogs V Raiders 20K ... bobcats last game possibly with a slight mathmatical chance of a finals spot will get a few along to this.
Broncos V Manly 52K
Roosters V Storm 10K

180K odd for the final round round

this is a 50/50 bet
a result either way wouldn't surprise .... the Knights playing ordinarily would be an issue if they were playing the Tigers .. Manly or the Storm

but they can beat the Bunnies on Friday inspite of this , Bunnies if they get all their troops back , Sutton .... Merrit , Asotasi .. Inglis
then they'll think they can win too ...this isn't a club game
its a 10th final this one , Sunny & 18 is the forecast
a belter in prospect in front of a monster crowd

Its a pretty good effort by the Raiders. Especially when you consider that in

2010 they had 3 games under 10,000
2009 they had 5
2008 they had 3
2007 they had 4

When was the last time that a Week 1 ( or 2) Finals crowd in Sydney got more than 30K?

More than 30K on a Friday night will be a good result IMO...

Having a quick look through the rest of the decade, it looks like that was the only Sydney 1st week final to attract over 30k.

If we end up with Tigers vs Dragons as 4 vs 5, the crowd should be massive. They got over 70k in the preliminary final last year so you would hope for at least 40k in week 1 this year.

I think the only way 151,000 is gonna come to pass is if some clubs open up their gates. Especially the dogs.

they have a sense of occasion

they'll turn up for bobcats last game
unlike your lot

Gallen could be breaking the record for games played in first grade
but because the toothless wobby gongs are no chance of making the finals
would only get 7K

if a Dogs player were in the same pozzie
they'd get 30K
keep your crowd lectures for a club & fans more deserving of them
perhaps your own lot for starters
