Norffs fans should STFU, Cronulla is keeping you guys out of the comp, not Manly.

The biggest mistake was admitting Cronulla in 1967, if not for that blight, they'd all be saints fans, they wouldn't know any better. Now we're stuck with the petulant pricks treatening to spit the dummy if their trumped up NSW cup team gets replaced with a club that could have a turnover of $20+ per year.

But no, all finances for all other 15 teams are capped too low so the guppies can be within spitting distance of the rest.

Piss the sharks off, let in the central coast

The way the Souths fans are going on, this being their first home final in a generation I think they might get 45,000+ this week.

We're a bandwagon club too. A lot of people will make the drive up for this one.

According to this link, it is confirmed that the Storm will play their preliminary final on Friday night and the Bulldogs on Saturday night:

http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/nr...bitohs-v-raiders/story-fndujljl-1226468495865

Furthermore, the Storm final will be at AAMI Park, regardless of whether it is against Manly or Cowboys. Seems like the NRL is conservative and don't want to risk playing the game at the larger Etihad Stadium. Good decision however by the NRL to put the Bulldogs game on Saturday night, which will maximise the crowd (especially if Souffs beat Canberra) and force the Sydney Swans to play in the least preferred Friday night timeslot. The Swans would've died to have played on the Sat night vs Collingwood, but if West Coast win they would've had to play on Saturday afternoon due to the rule regarding Preliminary Finals matches involving inter-state sides.

surely 30k Souths fans + 10k Canberra fans will show up, getting it around 40k.

On Friday they should get 20k Manly fans + 2-3k Cowboys fans, getting it to around 23k

Every club is a bandwagon club mate. I sometimes wish the word would be banned.

Put a big Sydney club in a home final and the thousands will come out of the woodwork.

36000 is a great nrl semi crowd

Not than many years ago grand finals got crowds in the high 30s

high 30's not many years ago ?:sarcasm:

there hasn't been a crowd for an RL GF that hasn't got to over 40,000 since the 1930's

Watch the penrtith v Canberra grand finals

There are definitely empty seats behind the goal posts.

And not just a handful

There are hundreds. And they weren't all at the bar

The attendances for the 90 & 91 Grand Finals were 41K plus change. The SFS Capacity was 42K back then.

......and I've seen the 1990 Grand Final more than a couple of times.

Rabbitohs v Raiders - 27,000
Sea Eagles v Cowboys - 16,000

As for week 3, hoping Souths win next week for a massive crowd.

Bulldogs v Souths/Raiders - Souths: 83,000, Raiders: 45,000
Storm v Sea Eagles/Cowboys - Sea Eagles: 28,000, Cowboys: 26,000

If Souths can't bring 27,000 of their own people .. before a Raiders fan is even counted
then their fans should hang their heads in shame

should nearly beat the all Sydney crowd from last Friday
