I'll repeat, you're a f**king moron. With no clue.

Here's a good example

For the Gold Coast game it was very bright and sunny for that time of day for most of the match. Sure the match would have ended in dimmer conditions, but hardly *cold and freezing* that Canberra fans love to sprout on about like an old chestnut. That was my point. 8,240 was pathetic as it wasn't cold that day.

I see you have resorted to unjustified name calling and have skirted away from the main topic of Canberra's pathetic crowds. Because it's all true!

But seriously, for the good of the game I hope Canberra's crowds improve dramatically next year. They have a team that deserves to get more.

Just making the point that Raiders fans of all people shouldn't wield some sort of moral authority on the subject of crowds and be critical of other teams until their crowds can back it up.

LOL. Were you at that the Gold Coast game? Wasn't cold and freezing

You idiot. I saw one young kid close to me (no more than 4), wrapped in about 10 layers, and was still prepared to called DOCS.

I'm not going to bother to give you a proper reponse as your argument has more flaws that you can poke a stick at.

Judging by your username, at least I've got a team to follow. lol. Hurts doesn't it.

Enjoy.

Roosters home crowd average in our conditions

3,266 ?

What conditions would those be? A one team town in an alleged rugby league heartland?

Ok lets talk about embarassing:-
A club representing the eastern suburbs of sydney
- 3 junior clubs
- a home crowd attendance that is held up by away supporters and fudgy numbers
- a club thats sole existence is dependent upon its support from cyngell/politis
- a club that has no members

Compare easts to souths in terms of there connection with the community / junior numbers / fans showing up to games and easts are a joke yet they have had all the same advantages.

Your club is an embarrasment that belongs in the NSW cup.

Your club hasn't been able to produce a decent player, or do anywhing worthwhile for league for 50 years.

When you search eastern suburbs junior rugby league it comes up with brisbane. Brisbane!!! lol at your club !!

Lol looks like I hit a sore spot with this one.

My favourite is the bolded part. The old ?Roosters crowds are propped up by away support?. So if we believe your logic the 10k between our clubs at the SFS this year was ?propped up? by Canberra fans. It?s a mystery why those same fans didn?t bother with the round 24 match in Canberra :sarcasm:

Embarrassing is not being in a prelim final in recent memory and not being relevant ever. No one besides caravan abiding, rat tailed bogans would care if the club dies. I am glad you mentioned souffs in your post, Canberra come closest to matching their run of failure. They are the only 2 clubs besides the Titans to not be in a GF* since 1997.

*The final game of the season.

Oh, the old 'you argument is so flawed but I can't be bothered showing why - I'll just continue mocking' routine...

I've gone through it many a time on here, very recently as well.

People with such ridiculous arguments like "you should be averaging similar to the Knights" without any thought don't really deserve proper reponses.

Oh and lol@cronulla. 34-16.

Can't wait 'till the day you're shipped off to Adelaide.

Is it just me, or are raiders fans doing their best Manly impersonation? So much excuses, so much bitterness, so much ignorance.

A guy at work is a big Manly fan but he says it is too hard for him to go. Pain for him to go home from the city to Manly then get to the game on time. Then started whinging about how long it would take him to get home. Basically, if it's not a Brookvale, he's not going...
So I asked the Manly fan again today, whether he was going this week, seeing as it's a knockout. Nope, not worth the effort. But he'll be there if they make the grand final...

See, perfect example. Cant handle the truth, would rather put another team down instead.
Typical Manly Response. Good company you keep. Keep circling those wagons in your denial, bandwagoner.

Can't handle the truth?

Here it is.

Been in the comp 45 odd years, 0 Premierships
The shit on the shoe of the NRL
Dragging the chain
Little to no fans
Poor
Areas being swallowed up by the Dragons
Fans, clubs and all others want to see the club extinct or rellocated
Captain & coach are whining bitches

The truth.

Canberra:
Population - 358,222
Average Temp (Jun/Jul/Aug) - 12.3/11.4/13

Newcastle:
Population - 288,732
Average Temp (Jun/Jul/Aug) - 17.5/16.7/18

Given the average temp is about 5 degrees less, but with a larger population, I would suggest you may not get as large as the Knights (simply because of the stadium size), but you should have a fairly high average.

Your point? We lost. We played like crap. I'm not bitter...

Can't wait 'till the day you're shipped off to Adelaide.

Not going to happen, sorry.

The AFL argument?
How about you and your fans have shown on this forum to be excuse merchants who only get on your team every 2nd year while being general scum and when shown this you will state to the heavens above "weve won premierships" thinking that the fact you have won a premiership gives you the right to not go to games, act like 12 year olds and complain "ITS SO COLD".
For having less fans than you, sure is surprising that we had a higher attendance average than you. A one team town, who has won premierships.
 raiders fans sure are f**king geniused bandwagon jumpers.

Hunter Valley - ~ 600k
Canberra & Queanbeyan & Surrounding regions - ~ 400k

Canberra - Direct competitors with the A.C.T Brumbies, who came 1st in their division this year, who now also play deeper into the league season
Newcastle - A-League team, barely plays into league season, completely different sport

Canberra - Rugby League probably most popular sport, but strong Union, AFL and Soccer influences. Was considering an AFL town up until 1982 due to the strong Victorian migration in early years.
Newcastle - Rugby league heartland

Canberra - High income area, very high socio economic standards. Highest levels of education (i.e tertiary) in the country. Good proportion of population don't give a flying f**k about sport at all
Newcastle - More working class, lower socio economic areas. League = working class game

Canberra - Higher priced memberships, expensive tickets at the gate
Newcastle - Cut priced memberships due to Tinkler, cheap tickets at gate

Canberra - Weather. Enough said. Coldest winter in God knows how long. Strongly deters the very young and the elderly. Big reason why any code played in the winter will never see huge crowd averages

Then if you want to take it further

Canberra - Old stadium. Very little undercover. Now pushing for new stadium.
Newcastle - Redeveloped stadium

Wouldn't a higher disposable income in act make buying tickets easier

I'd like to see a percentage of canberrans born in Canberra ? Compared to Newcastle
