and here we go with the same Sh.it from last week
the same sydney blah bla bah
Like I said
Sydney NRL sides would struggle to get to 5000 on average if their fans had to contend with the way our side played for most of this year & the last 18 years .. & our weather conditions
wot part of that dont you geniuss understand
Manly fans & a lot of other sides don't have that excuse
& anyway
this isnt the home & away season anymore F wit
its the finals
our fans know how to respond to them
most Sydneysiders it seems .... don't ;-)
Sydney this, Sydney that, blah, blah, blah.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones (and I am
not a Manly fan)
Excues, excuses. Face up to it - Canberra's crowds are s***. The statistics don't lie - Canberra has the
worst corwds in the league and have been awful for some time.
And it's not just measured against Sydney teams that your crowds are bad - it's against
every team. So your Sydney paranoia is flawed.
Canberra should be drawing crowds of 15,000 minumum and occasional 20,000's similar to Newcastle Knights.
"...

mate your team made the finals and hasn't missed consecutive finals since 1985-86!!!!!!!!!! And last time I checked Parramatta was a Sydney team - so go and ask a Parramatta fan how their team has played this year...not bad for a 16,800 average. And Penrith with such a crap year they have had averaged more than Canberra - if fact everyone has! There goes your b****hit arguement.
"..
& our weather conditions" - if weather conditions are such a factor, why then did the Raiders get the following home crowds
in sunny daytime conditions:
vs Parramatta 9,210 sunny Sunday afternoon
vs Gold Coast 8,240 sunny Saturday 5:30 pm
vs Brisbane 9,850 sunny Sunday afternoon
I agree that cold weather in the middle of winter *might* be a factor for *some* people (especially families), but every team could come up with similar excuses. If it is good enough for your 10,000 true believers to find a way to attend in cold weather, then it *should* be good enough for at least another 5,000 in a city as large as Canberra to do the same thing and also support their team on a regular basis.
