Lol this is one of my favourites “we have fans everywhere so they can’t get to games”. What a load of crap, every single team has fans outside their heartland. once again to be Souths claim to have 22k members and it has been proven a myth. They average 16k or whatever it is of which at least 20% on average would be away fans and a further 20% probably wouldn’t be paying members.

You are dreaming if you think 15k of that crowd were South’s members.
Just because you may be a ticketed member, that doesn't necessarily mean that you MUST therefore attend every home game. I am a ticketed member and have NEVER made it to every home game yet. Only made it to 3 home games last year. In 2010 I went to about 6 or 7. Just depends on scheduling, work commitments, etc, but I'm happy to make my contribution to the club regardless. Oh, and we only have 20,000 members, not 22,000 but I'm sure we'll get there.....

I think Broncos V Cowboys crowd will be a huge disappointment unfortunately.

White Category says single seats, but it hasn't even been opened up to 3rd tier white category seating yet (maroon level 7 sold out, and blue level 7 almost sold). Will tomorrow, so essentially there is 10,000 seats to sell in 2 days. I think we would be lucky to get over 43,000. Which to me i am pretty annoyed/ pissed off and shattered. I remember 2007 and 2008 both were over 50k. But in saying that round 5 v Dragons is travelling well...

At least the weather is meant to be ok, hopefully some rock ups. And no matter what we have already beaten the reds, whom got 33,568 last weekend.

souths were asked to pay 125k at the time they eventually moved to ANZ
after telling the SCG trust to go F themselves

price may have come down since then

but it aint them getting paid 125K a game is it
it isn't even zero

so they lose 450k a year instead of 900k

still aint pretty :?

Not if they can get people through the gate. These deals of a set amount of $'s regardless of fans attending smacks of laziness or a lack of faith in being able to attract fans to games. Where's the motivatin for clubs to promote or encourage fans to come to games?

therefore does anyone belive the knights can post a 30,000+ crowed this year??

Let's not forget that the weather wasn't great on Thursday and it was a school night. Assuming they remain competitive throughout the year they'll crack 30,000.

Have to agree that RL fans do seem somewhat soft where you consider what weather the NFL fans in places like Boston, Green Bay and Chicago sit in for 5 hours!

Having grown up watching Winter RL in Uk stood on terraces in snow and sleet with just a bovril to keep you from hypothermia some people don't know how easy they have it.

New it wouldnt be a sellout at gosford.

Normally there is a lot of hype in the lead up to matches there and this time there was none, if you didn't know it was being played at gosford already you would have assumed it was at brookvale tonight.
