The usual poor crowd at Penrith.

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon We have two Sydney teams playing. Yet we have a small crowd.

The crowd looks disappointing at Campbelltown, in the range of 12-13k. If so, it's a pretty poor effort given our recent run of victories.

our 10k on a Friday night looks just fine next to the Tigers getting 13k in an arvo game in good weather against a more entertaining team than we had.

But overall a fairly underwhelming round in general.

I suppose so. Don't know why it wasn't higher, Tigers coming off 4 straight wins, first Sunday Campbelltown game in 2 years, against an entertaining team like you said with Thurston-Bowen-Tamou.

Must of been all those Magpie fans in protest

Oh well, majority of the crowds this week have been fairly disappointing anyways

Neither crowd was acceptable. The Souths crowd was particularly awful; success starved fans finally have something to cheer about with a run of good form and still don't show up. Granted its the weekend after origin, they played the lacklustre Raiders and it was a bit chilly (I didn't think it was THAT bad) but 10 000 is a joke. Unless Souths can pull at least 12000-13000 to such a matchup and more for local/in form teams they shouldn't be playing at ANZ.

My predictions for next week...few interesting games, I wonder how Brisbane will draw on a Sunday as opposed to Friday Night...Titans have hit some form, can they finally post a decent crowd against a QLD rival? Will the Dogs v Souths crack 30k for the 2nd time this season even during the Origin period? Parra v Sharks I find very hard to see anymore than 10k there.

Fri 7.30pm - Manly v Dragons @ Brookvale Oval - 13,500
Fri 7.30pm - Titans v Cowboys @ Skilled Park - 16,000
Sat 5.30pm - Raiders v Tigers @ Canberra Stadium - 11,000
Sat 7.30pm - Bulldogs v Souths @ ANZ Stadium - 32,000
Sun 2.00pm - Warriors v Storm @ Mt Smart - 17,000
Sun 3.00pm - Brisbane v Newcastle @ Suncorp - 31,000
Mon 7.00pm - Parramatta v Sharks @ Parramatta - 9,000

what a shit weekend for crowds... Origin does have a bastardisation on NRL crowds, happens every year..

NRL should really double the marketing budget for the 3 rounds post origin each year...

Should be more than 31k in Brisbane on Sunday. Knights are pretty well supported up here, and Broncos fans finally get that Sunday game they all want so bad

If Brisbane are fair dinkum about getting more non-Friday games, they need to show up in numbers on Sunday tbh

If the Dogs can win tonight there is no reason why it can't hit 30k.

Both sets of Ticketed Members get in for free, that is almost 30k already.

Problem being that Souths might have 22k members, but only 15 or 16k odd are ticketed from memory.
