It says a lot about how sport mad this country is that we have TWO different sports/leagues in the top 22 in a country with such a small population.

When you think about it, it really is amazing how many professional sporting teams a population of 20 odd million supports here.

No other country comes close in either of these measures.

Teddy boy is right with the comment regarding union in Brisbane.

Rugby is massive with the school boys, although these lads still usually like to watch league as well. Personalities like Genia, Cooper and Digby are used with promotion.. And its working.

Teddy is alright. He's from Newcastle.
f**k off you pack of vultures.

Suity

He's a dickhead union troll who shows up and comments in the same threads all the time.

I'll never forget the time he tried to argue that back at it's peak, club rugby union crowds in sydney were bigger than the rugby league crowds. lol

So we can pull 26K for a pretty much nothing game when it comes to the Ladder, while you and the Bunnies barely scrape together 19K for a season defining clash.

And I'm supposed to feel humiliated about this?

Your team had a sunny sunday afternoon....

Your team is a 1 team town....

Your team boasts the most representatives in the NRL...

The opposition coach is a legend in Brisbane....

Yet you guys could only get 7k more than us on a cold wet night in Sydney.

Nice one dude.

Also our home average is ~25k whilst yours is ~36k

We have no right to be criticised considering we have been punching about our weight for so long compared to other teams.

Teams that have bigger memberships than us still cannot draw the crowds we can.

So please f**k off.

If we want a d*ck measuring contest on wikipedia the SOO is a domestic professional competition with average attendances that blast AFL out of the water.

What are the odds of Canberra drawing the exact same crowd figure they got against Parra ;-)?

And a nice well-rounded number it is too!

You need to accept the reported crowd figures.

Your comment earlier on the gold coast crowd being wrong and comparable to what gold coast united had in was laughable.
