Even Rabs alluded to it in the coverage, will be interesting. Of course if it is a shit crowd and i consider shit for this fixture anything under 18k then the game will be crucified by our own press and the afl will run its own headlines spruiking how ever many turn up on saturday.
I've always wondered how many this game would draw if the clubs alternated their home game to ANZ and put a big effort into marketing it? Importantly both sets of members gain entry with season passes!
So it would be Penrith (H) @ ANZ 2012, Parra (H) @ ANZ 2013...... Of course its still played twice a season so the derby has a suburban component every year. Plus it gives the Panthers a marquee game which they along with Cronulla seem to lack. Maybe Sharks and St. George could do the same thing at SFS. Couldn't hurt.
Well I've said it before and I'll say it again -
